When 16-year-old senior Pyotr Tchaikovsky sees 14-year-old junior Sergey Kireyev he falls immediately and passionately in love with him. Tchaikovsky forms a friendship with Kireyev but still wants more. While Tchaikovsky is trying to come to terms with his erotic and romantic attractions to the boy, Kireyev is trying to figure out how he feels about this much older admirer trying to pursue him. Along the way, Tchaikovsky forms new and different relationships but he never lets that get in the way of his beloved Kireyev.
Disclaimer!!!: Although most of what I write is fiction and made up there are some events that have actually taken place in Tchaikovsky's life. I also purposely add or leave out things I know to be true or not true because I want to. I would like to again stress most of this did not happen in his life!!

One day, a new employee at a coffee shop he frequents at tries to make friends with him until he finds it in himself: a muse for his works, and ends up composing his magnum opus that brings him back to the top of the classical music scene.

It's 1993. The young and humble, but very promising opera singer to-be, Alfie Boe, puts a note under the door of his idol, Michael Ball, asking him for guidance. He doesn't actually believe he will call him back. And yet he does. This way the most unusual relationship begins to form.
The story takes place in the alternative reality where Michael Ball never met Cathy McGowan so there was no one to help him through the hard times. It's also the reality where he met Alfie Boe much earlier in his life.
Both men are shaped by altered circumstances, their dynamics is slightly different, but some things remain unchanged: they are still brilliant vocalists, talented actors and just ordinary human beings trying their best to live in the wild showbiz world. Together and apart. -
