Demons of shadow and bone wander the world of Remnant, preying on innocent people and assailing all civilization. It is a Grimm situation, or... it would be, if not for the brave Huntsmen and Huntresses that travel as guardians and warriors across the lands. And where do these noble folk arise? Why, they are trained at prestigious academies across the kingdoms, such as the one called Beacon!
It can mean a lot to attend a school. For some, it's a way to grow into the heroes they always admired. For others, it's a chance to redefine themselves for the better. For a few, it's a refuge from the monsters lurking in their past. And for most... it's just something they always knew they'd do, the next step in their lives.
Of course, to become Huntsmen and Huntresses, the young hopefuls not only have to survive school... but also each other. Which, unfortunately, means handling all the struggles teenagers have figuring themselves out on top of fighting monsters. This year, like many others, students have come from across the globe... and this year, unusually, a number of them have their own secrets.
It's going to get weird and wacky very, very fast.

Tedd/Elliot AU fic. Certainly not autobiographical, but inspired by my own experiences, and to an extent wish fulfilment and coping with own trauma by considering what may have gone differently.
As such, content warnings for: self-harm, religious abuse (especially related to orgasm control), underage sex (with no adult involvement), internalised LGBTphobia, system persecutors.
