To Dean Winchester Cas Novak was just a name on a worksheet along with a bunch of landscaping instructions. Until this morning. Until the front door opened and Dean was met with with brilliant blue eyes, stubble for days, and a lean body he couldn't help lusting over—and that was all before Cas even said a damn word.
But that didn't matter. Dean was a professional. All right, fine, maybe a little light flirting wouldn't hurt. Could he really be blamed when every remotely suggestive comment made Cas trip-over-his-words awkward and adorable?

“The float looks amazing, Cas,” Gabriel told him enthusiastically.
It did, the flatbed he’d brought to Cas had been transformed over a few weeks. He’d built a platform and railings, all painted in bright rainbow colors, There was an honest to God roof over the whole thing, along with support beams and two stripper poles in the middle, twinkle lights, a disco ball, and flashing colored spotlights that danced over everything. Above the roof, there were massive rainbow streamers raised up in a graceful arc to flutter in the wind.
Somehow, Cas’d turned a plain old flatbed into what looked like a moving club, and it was a hell of a display. It perfectly represented Eight Equals Three’s almost cheesy club vibe. He loved it.

Going back to Lawrence was on Dean's list of things to never, ever do. Unfortunately, life—or in this case, death—made a mockery of even the best laid plans. Still, when he went home for his dad's funeral with Sam, Dean had no idea who would be waiting there to turn his entire world upside down.
Cas had spent so many of his teenage years in love with his best friend Sam’s big brother that he was half-convinced he’d embellished Dean's attributes in his memory. Too bad for his heart that when Dean came back, he'd only gotten more attractive with age. He was still the best looking omega Cas’d ever known. Even worse was that Dean was attracted to him too because no matter how much Cas wanted him, Dean was only there until he fixed up John's house, then he was headed back to California.
So the question was, could they keep their hearts from breaking when he did?
