Summary
Lost in sweet sensation, Barry doesn’t notice the approaching footsteps of the midnight shift on count. He does, however, take notice when a flashlight shines directly on his face.
“Allen? Allen!” it’s one of the newer additions; Len told him, on the first day, rookies always end up on the midnight shift, “Allen, where’s Snart? You got him in there?”
The double entendre is beyond Barry’s capacity to pass up. “Yeah,” he says, acutely aware of how breathless and enthralled his voice sounds, “I got him in here.”

“Not sure they’re going to make it upstairs.” Leonard remarks, albeit softly.
From the front, fingers hook into the belt loops of Leonard’s denim and a pair of hazel eyes glitter in a way that his stomach performs a gentle flip. The look in Barry’s eyes, the smirk on his young face, the humble scent of his soap…this is familiarity. This is home. As close to home as he, or Mick, ever really come.
“Probably not.” Barry answers; his fingers tighten in the belt loops and Leonard grips his shoulders in full awareness of what’s about to come, “But we will.”

“Sorry to hear that,” he can hear Caitlin’s steps on the floor, the heels tapping idly to match her pace; after a moment more of glaring at the page, he sighs and looks up to find her plucking the knot of her coziest bathrobe, “Maybe I can…provide some inspiration?”
