BANG BANG
A Big Bang is a specific type of challenge usually involving long fics and accompanying artwork. This type of challenge is a reprise of the old zine tradition of collaboration between artists and writers for internet fandoms. Most Big Bangs have a similar format: Writers sign up and begin writing stories. When the early drafts of the stories are available, each one is assigned one or more artists, or artists might claim stories from posted summaries. Artists create fanart to go along with the story.

The stall Spirit takes Black Star and Maka to is on the outskirts of the fairgrounds. The purple fabric of the tent is freckled with half moons and pointed stars in a faded gold. It flaps in the wind to match the tinkling of the chimes hanging from the sign that reads, in yellow-gold lettering, “THE CARD EATER.”
As they reach the entrance of the tent, a voice wafts out, dreamy and tinged with heavy incense, “Hello, King of Hearts, welcome back to my humble stand.”

Marie Mjolnir, working as a lifeguard in Australia, stumbles across something a tiny bit strange when she decided to walk the beach at night. And by tiny bit, she means gigantic bit. Because it’s not every day you find a man with a fishtail washed up on shore, bleeding out into the Ocean. After dragging the unconscious sharkman back to her house and dumping him in her bathtub, she’s left with the task of nursing him back to health. Which would certainly be easier were he not the most stubborn mermaid her side of the equator.

The Witch’s Grimoire was the last place they expected to end up in when Lord Death sent them on a group mission, and between the pig costumes, wandering into the woods with no sense of direction, being cast as the grandmother while being THE Death Scythe, and the fluffy wolf ears, Azusa, Marie, Spirit and Stein find themselves grumbling as they work their way through each story in hopes of coming out of it with some dignity still intact.
But if Spirit made another wolf joke Stein was going to dissect him, again: story-line be damned.

Summary
Neku’s in college now, and other than passing through Shibuya’s subway station to get to other parts of the city, he doesn’t really stop by much anymore. But when he gets a serious case of artist’s block before a gallery show, he decides to go back to his old stomping grounds to get inspired, and maybe mend a broken piece of the city in the process.
Written for the 2020 TWEWY Bang. Contains all the Bang art from myself and my two artist partners!
