I like it! I like Penny's POV being the main POV. Women pay attention to different things than men. A female leader will consider important some other things which guys often undervalue and I think it interesting. I like what Penny's dad built here, the community he has amassed in his lands. I like how things are done, the schedules for tasks, the community reunions, the taking of minutes, the house assignements and re-asignements. Everybody is organized! That is both efficient and keeps people feeling productive and busy. That helps with trauma and subsequent depression bouts. I also am very happy things are going quite well for Drottningville and super excited about people from Greeneville coming to stay. I am curious about why they are moving to Nebraska and what happened to the others in their group. Is Greeneville still standing up? How they did fare in the years since Penny & her mens were there? How much you kept from the TWD canon and how much changed? I am excited about all, here! Thank you for writing and posting this sequel. I always like to read about survivors making their settlement one thriving and how their daily life gets. :D Take care and have a wonderful weekend!
I hadn't seen this option (inbox) before, but I'm using it now, thinking that my reply will not end up as a comment. Being new to Ao3 I'll have to wait and see. I like it that you mentioned people feeling busy and productive: I gave them a 48 hours working week because of that and because of the limited opportunities they have to engage in hobbies. ;) Chapter 3 (to be posted on 2 December) will feature two characters from Greeneville.
