Wait... is this "cis girl Vivian" or "trans girl Vivian"?
What does that mean
In the original Japanese version of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Vivian is explicitly stated to be transgender. Such is the case with nearly all localizations of the game except for the English and German localizations. Also, a cis (short for cisgender) person is someone who identifies themself with the gender they were assigned at birth (i.e. a girl identifying as female), while a trans (short for transgender) person is someone who does not identify themself with the gender they were assigned at birth (i.e. a boy identifying as female).
Actually, that was a mistranslation. She isn't trans or a guy in the Japanese version.
"Mistranslation" my ass.
