Summary
After his duel, Zuko had fled to the Earth Kingdom where he has been living for the past 3 years, living as a farmer and a healer after being adopted by a nice Earth Kingdom family, presumed dead by the Fire Nation when disappearing while injured, giving Iroh a chance to keep Azula from staying loyal to her father. Given a chance to heal & find people who genuinely care about him with no ties or loyalty to his father, he is able to be saved from growing bitter and jaded after years of failing at a mission. Using his alias as The Blue Spirit as a healer who has learned to use firebending to heal as opposed to as a thief and assassin, he is able to influence views on firebending from both the Earth Kingdom and Water Tribes as wells as firebenders themselves. He comes across the Gaang in the harbor town he has been living in, connecting with them as a healer who still remembers how to fight from what his life used to be, joining their cause before they even reach the Northern Water Tribe.
This is a series, I have posted a summary at the end of the 1st part if you don't want to read Zuko's recovery arc. I would suggest reading it, but it isn't plot heavy and I'm not here to tell you how to live your life.

But he isn’t going to look a gift dragon moose in the mouth. Especially since he’s been sleeping better than he has in actual years.

Jet had left the forests for Ba-Sing-Se in search of a new life, a normal life, and although the thoughts of domestic life scare him, he meets Li, an anxious, ill-tempered, and confined refugee, so if Li could suck it up, so could he. Besides, as long as Li is there he feels his life won't be as boring, especially since he feels as if Li was meant for so much more than the simple life of a refugee.

Summary
"I asked if you're okay," The guy replies.
"What? Yeah. Of course, I am. Why wouldn't I be?" Zuko scoffs, looking back to his empty coolant tank.
"Because it's like 3 am on a Thursday, and you're in a shady 7-11 parking lot with car trouble?" The guy responds sarcastically, moving to Zuko's right side.
Zuko is starting to get a little freaked out. Is this really how it ends for him? Why is this guy here? Why won't he leave?
Zuko turns to look at him again. They are about the same height. This guy seems a little bulkier than he is, but he could definitely take him in a fight.
"Yeah, and now there is a strange man talking to me," Zuko states, crossing his arms.

Summary
Zuko hasn't been back to the South Pole since Aang first appeared from the iceberg, even though he and Sokka have been dating since the end of the war. But when Sokka asks him to travel there together for the Spring Equinox, Zuko decides he's finally ready to meet the rest of the Southern Water Tribe (for real this time.)
This was going to be the epilogue for a longer fic that I'm currently writing, but I've decided it doesn't quite fit how I want it to go, so I'm posting it as a one shot instead. (:

Summary
“Li, table five needs your attention.” Pao urged him from behind the counter.
His heart climbed in his throat and thundered until his breath drew short. Panic crept like a tight band around his chest as bright blue eyes followed him the way a hawk tracks a meadow vole through the brush from its perch. It was a sensation Zuko rarely felt since he left the Fire Nation all those years ago. The feeling of being prey in someone else’s eyes. The feeling of being pinned to the spot, unable to force himself to move or breathe. He wanted to flee, to race out the back of the tea shop and rush back to the safety of their cramped tidy apartment and pretend the water tribesman had never even entered the shop, but it was too late. He was watching Zuko with expectancy.
Suddenly the carefully crafted life he had built here in Ba Sing Se was teetering daintily on crystal foundations. All it would take is one strike to topple it all until only the shattered remnants remained for him to cut himself on.
“I’m surprised to see you here.” The tribesman greeted warmly, his voice twisted up with an edge of amusement.

Summary
Zuko's health is improving, and that's good. Ideal. But the better he gets, the closer Katara is to leaving the Fire Nation.
She's got a whole day scheduled for them, as always, but Zuko has other plans, things about his home he wants to show his friend before she leaves. And as it turns out, there is far more that needs healing in the Fire Nation Palace than the body of the boy king.
Oh, and it's almost, very, certainly positive that Zuko is maybe just a little bit falling in love with someone who maybe just a little bit loves him too.

Summary
See, the thing is— Agni fucking damnit— Zuko doesn’t regret helping Sokka rescue Hakoda from Boiling Rock. It was a step in the right direction, a display of loyalty, a step towards forgiveness. (Zuko doesn’t pale at the thought of loyalty. He doesn’t. He’s just tired, is all, tired and possibly dehydrated.)
However. He will concede that he may have inadvertently fucked himself over, because in the days and weeks after the rescue, Hakoda won’t stop looking at him with something like disappointment in his eyes. That’s not good. It’s really not good, actually, and in fact, Zuko might as well be dead where he stands. Well. He’s had a good run. Not really, but it’s easier if that’s what he tells himself. If he’s lucky, it won’t be too hard to find another firebending teacher for Aang, and—
Oh Agni. Oh fuck. He’s coming over. Smile, Zuko, smile for Agni’s sake, chin up, back straight, head empty, no thought, only respect, respect and survival, it’s going to be fine—
“Hey there. You seem a little pale, are you alright?”
It takes everything Zuko has to suppress a nervous laugh. He is really and truly fucked.
