Summary
Ben never died, he left the Academy days before his eighteenth birthday in the dead of night. Reginald covered it up by telling everyone he died and made sure he could never come home. Taken in by a mysterious agency in opposition of the Commission, Ben spent the last decade helping them avoid a premature apocalypse by alien entities like the Horror residing inside Ben. After a month of no new cases assigned to feed the Horror, Ben closes the bookshop he works at as a cover and decides to hunt in the backstreets of the city. Unintentionally he crosses paths with the sibling he misses most in an almost tragic twist of fate.

Five who had to share room with eight discovers what's been going up with and helps him he though he was trying to be a good brother by helping him well that's until Allison, Vanya, And Klaus told him about his feelings and maybe just maybe he did have feelings for him
No disaster, it's a good fanfic, no doomsday .

"Representative?" What kind of trouble has his brother gotten him into, he's going to kill him. He doesn't care if Diego's arm is broken, he's going to break the rest of his bones.
"Yes, I figured you wouldn't mind representing me in a swordfight" Diego smiles arrogantly, oh no doubt Five is going to kill his brother
"Of course, he accepts a bit of a compromise, but he is enthusiastic about the idea of a fight, maybe the fight is against Wednesday. The woman carries a whip after all. Who does that at an engagement party? "Who am I going to fight," he asks as a matter of courtesy, perhaps you could lend him some of the antique weapons he's observed around the house.
"With me, you will fight with me" the velvety voice shakes him, he turns around and his vision can only see beautiful and striking olive-green eyes.

Dying of a non-preventable disease (there was a cure, but he wasn’t even willing to consider forgetting Klaus. Not to mention the awkward conversations that’d start), that was all well and good. But when the disease was Hanahaki, and when the object of your undying (literally) love who eponymously did not return said love, at least in the very romantic way Ben ached for, can talk to the dead...things get a bit more sludgy.

Instead of another time he finds himself in a different universe. One where Sir Reginald did not raise The Umbrella Academy to fight crime but to commit it. Klaus knows he should avoid these other versions of his sibs...but when has he ever done things he should? The other versions of his family are darker and a little scary, but at the same time strangely fascinating. Though the biggest difference in this universe is that their Number Four was the one that died.
