Summary
Crowley is a general practicing physician. One day his wife, Aziraphale, shows up at his office in a mentally distressed state seeking help from him. After finding out why she's come to his office, Crowley examines and treats her. Once they return home, Aziraphale wants him to help her feel better. He obliges.
Please note the tags. More information in notes about them. This is similar to my Lost in Difficulty fic, and is loosely based off of a chapter in it where Crowley treats an OC patient for a similar to condition to what Aziraphale has in this fic.

Summary
“You’re kind,” Crowley said with another small laugh. Aziraphale looked over at him. His gaze softened. “Y’know, people like that sort of thing. Kind people.”
Aziraphale nodded. Crowley felt something strange stirring in his stomach, and he wondered if perhaps he’d had a little too much to drink. He was beginning to get the urge to do something stupid. To reach forward and take the angel’s hand. To trace the lines of his smile, and the creases of his eyes, and memorize what he looked like in case it was a long while before they saw each other again.
Whoa now, said the only logical part of his brain he had left, maybe it’s time to sober up.
Five times Crowley gave Aziraphale a gift on Valentine's Day, and one time it was the other way around.

Summary
For as long as he could remember, Crowley had seen himself as nothing more than a monster. He had done so many horrible things that he knew that he could never atone for. From that moment on, he decides to do something to atone for his sins, by becoming a doctor, as well as removing anyone who has been bitten to prevent the transformation while they are weak and allow them to die. Yet, his life has been turning the gears of fate since he came across a girl that he takes in as both his apprentice as well as his sister. Which in turn, causes him to meet a book shop owner who he seems to feel a strange attraction too. Now, he has to choose between allowing the man to live, or die. To allow himself to be cleansed of his sins by this man who he views as an angel, or allow himself to despair for the rest of his immortal life. But what he doesn't know, is that his fate has already been sealed when he fell in love with his patient.

Summary
Crowley sighed sadly as he slowly approached him and placed a hand on his shoulder, rubbing gently and reassuringly, an attempt to ground his partner, who was clearly anywhere but here with him. The blonde still had on his uniform; he smelt of sweat, and blood, and grief. He was shaking.
These kinds of jobs weren’t for the faint of heart. But even still, they got to you. No matter how strong you were.
Aziraphale has lost an emergency patient in his care, and Crowley comforts him. Part of the First Responders AU inspired by art (link in A/N and included in fic with credit!).

Summary
"Why are you doing this?"
Aziraphale's voice is faint, his breathing uneven. Crowley doesn't lift his eyes to see the sickly look on his face, the twist of pain where only joyous smiles should ever be.
"Bandages need changing", he mumbles, eyes fixed firmly on his working hands.
"No. I meant-" He can hear as Aziraphale swallows. "Why do you care for me?"
It isn't just 'why do you take care of me'. It's 'why do you still care at all'.
Crowley has to close his eyes for a second, makes sure Aziraphale doesn't see.
"Cause you're here", he says, voice carefully detached, "and you're hurt, and you need someone. And that someone's gotta be me."
"Why?"
He won't answer that. He can't answer that.
"Don't ask stupid questions."
~oOo~
Or, the one where Heaven punishes Aziraphale the only way they know how, Crowley is there to help pick up the pieces, and maybe they can actually build something new and much more beautiful from both their broken shards. -

Summary
Doctor Crowley meets a patient in A&E who presents with an embarrassing situation. Upon helping him, Crowley realizes that his patient may need more than just medical intervention. He decides that he needs to do everything he can to protect him.
Please note that this story deals with rape/non-consent. This does not happen 'on screen' in the fic, but the aftermath of it does. If this is triggering to you in any way, you may want to skip this fic.

Summary
"But calling you by the SKU is really derogatory.” Disgust once again settles on the man’s expressive face. “A-zero-F-L. Eizero-F-L. Eizirofel. Aziraphale?” The handler’s face lights up. “Hey, d’you know there’s an angel called Aziraphale? Aziraphale. What do you think?”
The griffin hums, testing the name in his mind. “Not that bad. I’ll think about it.”
***
Aziraphale is a griffin raised in a human world, without any contact with others of his own specie, but not really craving it, either.
But there's this one handler at the sanctuary, determined to teach him how to be a griffin. Aziraphale is not sure if he shares the ambition, still, the handler himself may be worth giving this a try.

Summary
Aziraphale strokes his face, and Crowley, ever the swooning ocean tide, leans into it as if Aziraphale is his moon.
“It pleases me to see you like this.” Aziraphale says, eyes warm yet distant.
Crowley looks down at his clothes and back up again.
“Muddy?” he tries and revels in the giggle and soft whack on the arm it earns him.
“No, silly.” Aziraphale says, and reaches up to tuck a wayward red curl behind his spouse’s ear. “It’s good to see you so carefree, so happy. You’re positively glowing.” Aziraphale pauses and glides careful fingers over the golden band he himself put on Crowley’s ring finger. “I love seeing you so unabashedly yourself.”

Summary
“I’d like to try getting drunk,” Aziraphale stated matter-of-factly after theatrically clearing his throat, punctuating his sentence with a swallow as his Adam’s apple bobbed up and down.
Immediately, Crowley choked on his saliva, his wet coughs soon turning into a poorly-concealed snigger, staring at the stone-faced cherub in amusement.
“You what?” he asked incredulously, almost scoffing as bewilderment gleamed in his widened eyes.
Aziraphale wants to experience getting drunk for the first time. Crowley helps him do exactly that. Of course, they both end up absolutely hammered, and Aziraphale can’t stop gushing over his husband. [Slight AU where they’re married and only Crowley has tried alcohol]

Summary
A loud buzzing, very briefly, tears Aziraphale from his spiral. He glances over to the mobile phone; the screen is bright now, signaling a call. Crowley's contact appears onto the screen.
He glances at the clock on the wall.
He’s five minutes late.
(How dare he. How dare he leave his closest friend like this, without so much as a call.)
After a few more seconds, the call goes unanswered, his phone dimming once more.
“. . . I’m sorry, dear boy.” His voice sounds foreign even to him; the higher octave of positivity is gone. “Perhaps it’s better that you don’t see me like this.”
--
Aziraphale has picked up countless habits from humans, over the course of millennia.
Not all of these habits would be deemed healthy.
Fortunately for the angel, Crowley knows all too well what Aziraphale is drowning in, and is determined to bring him out of it - one baby-step at a time.

Summary
“Fuck off,” he hisses out, words slurring together. “In case you missed it, ‘m not in the mood to be bothered.”
A pause. Then, the knocking becomes frantic, bordering desperate.
With another swear, Crowley slides off the bed, wobbling a bit as he gains his footing. Whoever the poor bugger is at the other side of this door is about to have nightmares for the rest of their life, interrupting his well-deserved brooding like this. A few bottles roll along the flooring and, with one final stumble, he reaches for his door handle, throwing it open.
”What —“
Crowley freezes. Any further demands vanish from his tongue, mouth hanging open, golden eyes wide and exposed.
“Crowley.”
Oh, that voice. It’s been only a year, nothing compared to their collective lifetimes, yet it had felt so long since he’d heard it.

Did you know?
Taking a long, warm Bath or shower can help fight feelings of loneliness?
(Bonus points if you are not alone in the shower in the first place...)Crowley feels cold. He always is. But today he's particularly cold. (I wonder if the cold is a metaphor for something?) Aziraphale wants to warm Crowley up. A hot shower seems to be the most plausible solution.
