Summary
Crowley is tired. It had been an objectively bad week in general, and any hope he had of stopping (or at least escaping) The Apocalypse had vanished in the bandstand, just like his hope of ever being able to get his shit together and exist with his angel the way he really wanted to.
A little heart-to-heart with Her was due.
Or:
Crowley has a breakdown and yells at God. After, the story progresses like canon and both angel and demon are dining at The Ritz. Was God as absent as they thought? Her Plan is ineffable, after all... ;)

Summary
Crowley has been talking to Her for as long as he can remember existing, and She’s never answered before, but he’s never needed it like he does now. Not even when he Fell. So this time, this time She needs to listen. This time She needs to give him something.
She’s forsaken him, he knows that. He got the message loud and clear a long time ago. But not Aziraphale, She hasn’t forsaken him yet. She can’t abandon him now.
***
Aziraphale is dying. In a moment of desperation, Crowley strikes a bargain with God.

Summary
Crowley is looking for something. Has always been looking, perhaps, but now, in their cottage in the South Downs, his search becomes much more obvious to Aziraphale. It happens every day, and after a while, it becomes almost performative. As if Crowley were just waiting for Aziraphale to ask what he is doing, exactly.
That, of course, means that Aziraphale won't ask what Crowley is looking for under the carpet, in the soil of his garden or between the sofa cushions. He won't ask, regardless of how long Crowley's search continues, a careful performance. Regardless of how curious Aziraphale is. This is a matter of pride, after all. And that means it doesn't matter that he wakes to find Crowley snooping under the closet in the middle of the night. It means that he is not at all, not one bit, not even slightly intrigued by the looks Crowley throws him during his search, clearly meant to irritate him. He won't ask - he has that much pride.
...oh, darn it, he will ask.
(As it turns out, that is for the best. Because the revelation of what Crowley is looking for in their home leads to other revelations - ones that Aziraphale is not even a little annoyed by.)

Summary
No mortal knows who invented lying. Yes, it was part of The Plan, every immortal understood that bit, but who exactly did it first? Only She knows that (or anything.)
Hell conceitedly claims lies as their creation. Demon's shout similarly, while whispering insinuations of otherwise; "Angels'll feign their feathers off. Only us Devil's spit deliciously rotten truths (when convenient.)"
Really, it's all of the above– sort of.

Summary
Aziraphale can admit, deep down, that he never truly exists without some lingering worry about Her opinion of him. What would it feel like, he wonders, to Fall? What would be the final transgression that got him cast out?
Surely, surely it could not be his love for Crowley.

Summary
Crowley has had dozens of children. Not biologically, of course, and not even really in the ‘maintaining their vital functions and raising them’ way: there are humans for that. But he keeps a close eye on them, talks to them, shapes them, intercedes demonically when required. They are his, and he is theirs, as much as anyone belongs to another.
The first one is an accident. It is an accident he cannot stop repeating.
What if there was another kind of rebellion than the one that took place, one that showed up the old order and was forbidden by the new one?
Or: Crowley thinks he can be a better parent than God. How hard can that be? -

Summary
A study in misery.
This is a series of vignettes featuring our favourite fine-feathered fools which will follow the narrative to correspond with T.S. Eliot’s “The Waste Land”. Each chapter will focus on a selected excerpt and I will be trapped in this hellish nightmare of bleak imagery and post-apocalyptic banality, constantly clawing at the endless layers of diaphanous film which cloud my view to a less stagnant future. What ABBA was for Mamma Mia, Eliot will now, regrettably, do to you and me. I shall do my best to make it as enjoyable as possible for the both of us while I stretch the boundaries of Good Omens to fit a completely unrelated narrative for no good reason whatsoever, and I’m hoping the turnaround is what’ll make this fun.

Crowley loves Aziraphale. Aziraphale loves Crowley, and he also loves God.
