“It’s the truth.”
“Angels don’t exist.”
A challenging gleam ignites Icarus’ eyes, blazing in the gloom like bottled lightning. “And therein lies your problem, Todd. You have no faith.”

Summary
Todd discovers that all the basic information Dirk has ever told him about himself (name, nationality, age) is not technically accurate.
He can understand the first two - but why does Dirk claim to be 2 years younger than he is? Is it possible to discount 2 years entirely from your life just because you don't want them to have happened?As the memories force their way to the surface, his friends are there to help him manage the memories and find some way towards accepting what happened.
While others make brief appearances, it's primarily Todd and Farah showing Dirk the love in this one.
TW for Blackwing – it probably goes without saying that the things that happened in the 2 years Dirk refuses to acknowledge… were not good.

The phrase slowly becomes Amanda and his thing anytime she had wanted him to do something. She knew how competitive he could be and it was her way of forcing him to be a better person or the bigger person or a whatever person. Being punk has taken on being their own form of bravery, but in a language only the two of them understand. He hates how much a look and those words can push him to do things he wouldn’t do otherwise, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. As much as it frustrates him, it’s a sign of them slowly rebuilding what they once had.
