“No... Dronma and Amrita, they were both women, so her wife?”, the younger explained, his expression turning from light confusion to a moderate amusement.

Summary
In which, somewhere along the way, the spirits decide to change Zuko’s path. The whispering kiss of an unnoticed presence, a blessing pressed atop the brow of a stillborn prince, a single strike of fury from the sky, and the children of fire are forged into a linchpin that will turn the War inward, on its hinge.
As the breath of a dying spirit finds its home in the chest of a tyrant’s son, as rebellion brews within the kindling of the Fire Nation, as the Avatar clings to his slumber within ice and cold salt, Fate threads gold into her tapestry once more.

AKA I get really dramatic about the hundred year war, the lack of acknowledgement towards the Gaang's child soldier status, Azula's fate, and about a million other things, so I divorce canon and take the kids.
And also show extreme favoritism to Zuko. Such is my right. -

Summary
After a successful Siege of Ba Sing Se Azula offers Zuko a way back, and in spite of his one redeemed brain cell Zuko takes it. Due to everyone's confusion it doesn't make him forget about the kindness he'd learned in the Earth Kingdom or alliance with the Gaang. For over three long years coming home was all he'd cared for... It's not how he'd expected happiness to feel like.
Sokka failed his friends, Aang might be dead, and he was on his way to the Fire Nation in an exclusive prison brig. From what he'd heard from Traitorous Asshole Zuko prison life was not fun. Well, shit.
or.
The final part of Zuko's redemption back at home sweet home with best dad™ and Azula trying to socialize him back to FN standards. Good old trope, of FN people loving half redeemed Zuko, who is a confused mess all the time.

Summary
After 5 years of leading the 41st division on the front lines, Zuko’s father has found a new use for him: as a bargaining chip in negotiations with the Southern Water Tribe. Zuko has no idea what to expect from this arrangement, but if the treaty can stop even one Fire Nation citizen from being killed, he’s willing to play his part.
Hakoda never wanted to bring an ashmaker into his home, but he knows his duty is to his tribe, even before his children or husband. He only hopes the prince will share his sense of duty and be willing to make the arrangement work. He never could have planned for Zuko.
Bato had his doubts, and Hakoda asking him at the last minute to change the wedding into a clan adoption didn’t put his mind at ease. But Zuko and his friends aren't the invaders Bato privately feared. As they settle in and learn the ways of the Southern Water Tribe, both he and Hakoda come to respect Zuko for his kindness, honesty, and bravery. Which is all well and good, until Zuko admits to having feelings for both of them, and they have to decide if they want to pursue a real relationship with Hakoda's young, fake husband.
Also, Zuko's lightningbending may have inadvertently returned the Avatar to the world, too. -
