Summary
The monks had told Aang and I of our destinies as coexisting Avatars earlier than usual since they feared there would be a great danger approaching us. I was a naïve kid. I hadn't yet wrapped my mind around the dangers and darkness looming around every corner of this world. I was also too ignorant to realize how stupid it was to think I could trust Aang. He left me to die, meaning he broke the promise we'd made the day we were told of our fates.
I had thought we were to always tough everything out together, but the contrary became clear to me once I was covered in wounds and wearily staring into darkness.
I am Avatar Y/n and this is my testimony of the true events leading to the defeat of the tyrannical Firelord Ozai.
TLDR; aang and y/n are both Avatars except y/n didnt run away before the Fire Nation attacked. Drama? Yes.

Summary
Four years prior to the birth of Aang, Roku died, but was brought back, causing the Avatar Spirit to split. This fragment of the Avatar Spirit was imbued into a young airbender named Ann-Ji. This young girl chose the "Avatar toys" when she was a small child. However, because Avatar Roku was still alive, she was not acknowledged as the next Avatar. Four years after her birth, Roku passed without any possibility of revival, resulting in the birth of her half-brother, Aang. When placed in front of the toys that were to be chosen, Aang chose the same ones Ann-Ji and all other past Avatars had. They acknowledged him as the Avatar as Roku was no longer alive. Twelve years later, Ann-Ji was visiting her brother in the Southern Air Temple. When she was visiting, also happened to be when Aang was deciding to run away. Ann-Ji was going to try to persuade him to return, so she was hidden away in Appa's saddle. Then they encountered the storm that threw them into the ocean. To protect themselves, both Aang and Ann-Ji ended up freezing themselves in ice for one-hundred years, only to be found again by two siblings from the Southern Water Tribe.

-This is the last book of the series LIAB, please go read the other two books before this, or you will be very confused-
Zuko has been taken by the Earth Kingdom army to who-knows-where, and Sokka is determined to get him back.
But he can’t do it alone.
With Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors by his side, Sokka is headed to Ba Sing Se to find Katara and Aang so they can go rescue his fire bender.
Things aren’t as easy as he had hoped. Corruption, lies, and unknown horrors await them inside the city’s walls. None of this is helping Sokka’s mental well-being.
Hakoda and his men face a problem of their own as Azula approaches with the intentions of making it rain fire.
Sokka and Zuko will both find themselves having to reintegrate back into a life they thought they left behind, with people they hardly remember. It isn’t easy for anyone, especially when they don’t recognize the person standing in front of them.

Summary
Water. Earth. Fire. Air. My grandmother used to tell me stories about the old days, a time of peace. The Avatar kept balance between the Water Tribes, Earth Kingdoms, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. But that all changed when the Fire Nation attacked.
Some people believe that the Avatar was never reborn into the Air Nomads and that the cycle is broken, but I haven’t lost hope. I still believe that somehow, the Avatar will return to save the world.

Atla but with me and my girlfriend’s ocs!
Don’t like the concept don’t read; this is only on ao3 because I wanted to read it easily and not in google docs.In the first book, only like one oc (Kiruya) consistently in the story. Other ocs are mentioned but aren’t that important until later on; specifically not on until the North Pole and the other one is much more important in Book Two.

Summary
Aang actually mustered up a smile, as small as it was genuine. “Katara would have wanted me to talk about it, and I’m not ready for that yet. And Sokka would have tried to get my mind off it, but I spent the whole war trying not to think about it because if I did...” Aang’s lip trembled for one terrifying second before he regathered his composure. “I need to let myself feel it,” he said with a shrug, “now that I have the time to really grieve. And Toph would have told me to get over it – not in a bad way, just, she doesn’t see the point in dwelling on things or dancing around them, you know? But you just let me be sad. I needed that. I think I’m going to need that for a while…And,” he added after a pause, so quietly that Zuko didn’t trust his ears at first, “I need my best friend.”
OR, after the war, Aang finally grieves for all the people he has lost. Including Aang discovering what happened to Kuzon and gratuitous amounts of Aang and Zuko fluff because these boys are best friends, and I will die on that hill!
Posted in honor of the live action Netflix series coming out last week.
