*cool narrator voice* Our heroes start their lives in another world, face both old and new threats, and navigate the dangerous paths they each must face together.
Destin heaved a breath next to him. “What’s on the list?”
Evan shook the paper to straighten it out, adjusting the strap on his bag. “‘A bean from Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans, an enchanted coin, a charmed object, chalk, a chocolate frog and its card, a feather, an old sign from one of the house notice boards, handkerchief, a mortar and pestle, a—pahail? Pihal?"
Destin motioned for the paper and read it aloud. "A phial."
“Wh— a file?”

Destin shrugged, indicating terribly that he had no clue.

Between Raisa's school schedule and Marianna's time-consuming work life, the duo rarely got to see one another anymore, so Marianna suggested weekly family dinners, where they would both make time to see and talk with one another. But Marianna began seeing a certain Gavan Bayar, much to Raisa's own dismay. For weeks, Raisa had barely spoken to her mother and decided that enough was enough. She was going to find a way to get back her mother's attention.
After a friend suggested that she bring home a boyfriend, Raisa hired none other than Han Alister to accompany her to her family dinners. Though...her mother's reaction wasn't quite what she wanted out of it. Now they have to continue with the charade for Raisa's family, and Han finds Raisa as the perfect date to take home to impress his own mother.
Their relationship was for business only, to attract their own families attention. Yet Raisa finds that she can't stop thinking about Han's mischevious grin, and Han's desperate enough to see her again that he'll come up with any excuse to spend more time with her.
