Summary
Nightingales may have disappeared from Berwick Street… But the Nightingale is just about to make an appearance.
The Ineffable Husbands (going through a divorce) team up with the Magical Husbands (aka Thomas Nightingale and Peter Grant) to save Earth… again. Aziraphale, Crowley and the Folly team, with the help of Varvara and the whole pantheon of the Rivers, are running against the clock, trying to stop The Metatron and his “Second Coming” nonsense. This is the Big One, as one very clever demon had predicted.
The story is set in the near future of my RoL’s “How to Survive Eternity” universe (sorry… not sorry :))) For those who are familiar with it, reader discretion is advised. The story spoils A LOT. For those who are blissfully unaware… you don’t really need to know the details, just go with the flow.

Summary
I wrote this story for several reasons. First and foremost, I wanted to get rid of my infatuation with Nightingale, and putting it on paper seemed a good idea. I also wanted to see if a straight Nightingale works among all those beautiful Grant, Seawoll, and dr. Walid ships. And last but not least, I've always wanted to write a younger female-older male relationship in a fantasy setting, and this seemed a safe environment to do so.
The story contains spoilers from all the books published so far. It makes sense without reading all of them, as long as you don't care about ruining the suspense.
As a link to cannon, I'd say I took the somewhat open ended side story of Robert Weil from Broken Homes and mused about bioengineering and magic. I apologize in advance for the dates probably don't make sense. I tried to keep to the events' chronological order though, while I was building Evelyn's timeline.
A huge thank you goes to the wonderful Nancy, who streamlined my erratic use of the English language and tried to eliminate all the vagueness from the story. A special thanks to BadAlice23, who made sure that the cannon related content actually makes sense.
Any mistakes that remain are mine alone. -
