Summary
An alternate ending to the Mosaic timeline, in which Quentin never solves the mosaic after Eliot’s death. He dies an old man there and they meet again in the Underworld. When they go through the doorway to move on from the Underworld, they find themselves back at the beginning of the mosaic timeline, stuck in a time loop there until they solve it.

Summary
I'm writing a series of haiku about the Mosaic. These are all standalone but I shall add more like tiles from time to time. So in essence this puzzle will always be complete yet ever creating a new pattern. Hoping to gradually present the beauty of all their lives together. Like shifting tiles I may shift the pictures around too, as I have time. I'm actually being crushed by deadlines rn, sorry for the mess, but I figure They got tired working on the puzzle, too. Yet they loved each day. And we all love it so.

A story in verse. Eliot’s POV, reflecting on their lives at the Mosaic, as well as what happened in the throne room afterward. Yes, their hearts were broken then—but in the course of these reflections, Eliot realizes a few things. And makes plans. So--there's hope!

Summary
That awkward moment when the love of your life gets a little drunk and takes you down memory lane whether you want him to or not.
And then he shoves a wedding ring in your hand, and goes to bed without even waiting to see if you'll put it on.

Summary
Eliot and Quentin can't get away from their royal responsibilities that easily.
Even at the Mosaic.
In which Q and El are silver foxes (the human kind).
Oh, and Eliot is a swordsman, and Quentin is ripped from building an extension on the cottage.
Teddy is grown and off on a quest of his own, and all Quentin and Eliot want to do is have a nice quiet life as retired kings solving a puzzle and drinking tea in their own cottage using the nice china, with the newest High Queen of Fillory.
Is that too much to ask?
Apparently, it is, because Whitespire keeps knocking on their door.
Goddamn it.

Summary
Even in the face of fifty plus years at the Mosaic…five years together in this life still felt like an amazing achievement to Eliot. Five years he never thought they’d have. Grateful for every day, even when he was floundering in the fear that he didn’t know how to do this. Until Quentin caught him with a laugh, a kiss, a “Hey” with smiling eyes.
In Quentin he found the home, happiness, and love he’d never had before in this life. He wanted to do something for Quentin that matched the magnitude of what Quentin had given him.
Of course, the best-laid plans are bound to go sideways, when magic’s involved.
On the afternoon of their five-year anniversary, Julia calls Eliot to tell him Quentin will be late for dinner.
“I don’t know why, but three portals malfunctioned at once. The third one got detached somehow and connected to an unknown world. Don’t worry, Q’s fixing them.”
“Don’t worry! Detached portals! Unknown worlds!” He could barely speak, his throat was so tight. “Tell him to wait. I’ll be right there.”
“El, I don’t know what to tell you. He’s already gone.”
It hit him like a sudden brick to the chest.

Summary
In short, Quentin — neurotic, depressive, insecure, inexperienced, nerdy, dyspeptic Quentin Coldwater — fucked more or less like any other red-blooded American male between the ages of seventeen and twenty-nine.
Eliot could not begin to explain why he found this… so excruciatingly hot.
(Or: Eliot wants to be helpful. Quentin wants to get tied up. A story about things which can get tangled.)

Summary
Celebrating an anniversary at the Mosaic brings things to a head between Eliot and Quentin.
Especially since Quentin has a very good reason for wanting to go home before the quest is over.
In which Eliot knows some shit about time magic.

Summary
Ari is close enough that the gathering twilight doesn’t matter. She’s resplendent, seems almost to be glowing as he kisses each knuckle. “Mmm. Better than okay. Just… got lost in thought.”
That smirk that he so loves makes an appearance. “You didn’t hurt yourself, did you?”
Quentin is definitely spending too much time with Eliot, if the authenticity of his theatrical gasp is any metric to measure by. “Oh, that was low.” Her captivating laughter is enough to bring everything around them back into sharp relief as he sits up, eyes narrowed at Ari, who regards him with her eyebrows and chin raised in an obvious challenge. “So. That’s how it’s gonna be, huh?”

Summary
The beauty of all life can mean a lot of things. In this world, Quentin and Eliot accidentally stumble across the mosaic’s solution two years in, and are sent back to the present to find the rest of the keys with their friends.
The only problem is, in those two years, Quentin and Eliot have started sleeping together, and also fallen madly in love — but neither will admit it. And when they come crashing back to real life, they have to try to keep hooking up, hide it from their friends, hide their real feelings from each other, and finish the Keys Quest to bring back magic, all at the same time.

Summary
This is — not what Quentin was going for, actually. But it might be— better? “Um— I’ve never—”
Before he can finish, Eliot spanks him again. “Then I’m honored—” he bends down over Quentin, leaning his weight on Quentin’s shoulders, holding him firmly in place, fuck— “—to be the first person to ever introduce you to the consequences of your actions.”
