Summary
A late-night phone conversation between Nicola and Malcolm on the eve of the election. Too much flirting and honesty, especially on the subject of her foiled move to America. And maybe the start of the Malciavellian plan that leads to Nicola becoming Leader of the Opposition.
Set a few weeks after S3E8.

Summary
Malcolm's plans to definitely not spend the day chaperoning the Secretary of State for Social Affairs and Citizenship at an agricultural fair up North are scuppered by a transport strike.
Really just an excuse for a series of Yorkshire and railway puns. Set sometime after S3E3.

Summary
Scenes from post-canon Malcolm and Nicola, inexorably - though by no means smoothly - finding their way back to each other. About two-thirds snarking and pining, one-third snarking and fluff.
Contentwise, 80 percent Malcolm and Nicola bantering, 10 percent Jamie and Cal Richards giving Malcolm affectionate hell, and 10 percent Julius wishing everyone would just calm down so he can carry on snacking (the true love story of TTOI).
Set a few years after the end of S4.

Summary
Nicola always found it a tad embarrassing that her grand entrance to DoSAC was made with nothing but paper and a pen. In a bid to save face she goes out on a limb and hires a member of staff for herself, hoping the new team member will be the poster girl for the Department of Social Affairs and Citizenship, casting them in a light of inclusivity, diversity, positivity, and lots of other lovely words that end in -ity.
Malcolm disagrees however. A wanton waste of the department's very finite budget, wilful capitalisation of a young woman. She has to go... Doesn't she?
(I am appalling at summaries, sorry! Please just give it a read and see what you think. The actual -plot- behind this contains a lot more thought that I am making it sound like in the blurb. I'm just horrid at condensing >.> MalcolmXOC/Slowburn/OFC).
(Ressurected fic after 6 years, actually pretty much finished in hard copy, just got to edit and submit. Nothing short of a miracle!)

Summary
Malcolm and Nicola's adventures through the twenty-four hours of a general election day.
Honestly, I just wanted happily-in-love Malc and Nic bantering domestically, but then a surprise election dropped into the picture. A lot like Britain in 2015-19.

Summary
She knew him, of course she knew. Everybody knew who was Malcolm Tucker. Well, at least, everybody in this party. They had already met before, more than once, although she doubted he would remember her. Which could be very comforting considering that two of their previous meetings had happened with Malcolm popping up at the Transports Department to scold Minister Skinner. If someone could call the menace that Malcolm’s infuriated collection of threats and curses were as scolding. It seemed to be a too soft word for it.
But she wasn’t scared of him; actually, he had impressed her. But not for the venous man she had already seen in action. She was impressed by the man behind the mask he seemed so carefully wear to succeed in that world of politics. A man that, as far as she knows, might not even exist, but of whom she had caught a glimpse some time ago, in a chance encounter at a bookstore.

"Behind Blue Eyes" by The Who
No one knows what it's like
To be the bad man
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes
No one knows what it's like
To be hated
To be fated
To telling only lies
But my dreams
They aren't as empty
As my conscience seems to be [...]Malcolm has a way of doing things, a role he has to play because somebody has to. And, being honest, he is very good at it. He lives alone, within this part. He is not Malcolm Tucker anymore, he is The Malcolm Tucker. He is well aware of this and has resigned to it. Over the past years, that is how he lived his life. However this is soon to change as Malcolm and Lucy Davis, a new PR advisor, set foot into each others lives. As they work together they will find in each other a way to reconnect with themselves, with parts of them they both thought were long lost. Malcolm begind to wonder if he could stop being alone, or even more, if he could stop letting himslef be alone.

Summary
"When the martyrs fall from the castle wall and menace clouds the air; when reason dies to the sound of lies, you'll be far away from there; so tell me that you'll hold me; stronger we will stand; I can see the day when we'll know the way; and we'll return to the land."
