Summary
‘No weapons involved’
Reed would have scoffed if his head didn’t hurt so bad. No weapons his ass, they should have known better than the believe what the caller had said to their girls in dispatch. The guy was a scumbag who was in and of himself a problem on most days. They should have known there would be weapons, but…..complacency happens, right? They knew better, but boy, what a way to learn a lesson. The liquor store owner had lied about the involvement of a gun and that gun had shot out bullets, the same bullets that had torn through Malloy without a second thought.

I live where summer nights are magical (yes I live with low humidity) so I decided to write a story that contained the magic of a beautiful summer night. This story mainly follows the Reeds on a summer day and then their summer night with Malloy. I know this a bad summary, but this is a good one-shot.
