Summary
“Peter Grant”, I introduced myself, as my brain finally woke up and classified the guy in front of me as Falcon-relevant. I reached out to him. He squeezed my hand hard, still smiling.
It’s Christmas time in London and Peter is struggling with whether he should finally listen to those strange feelings he recently had towards Nightingale. As if asking your over-100-year-old boss and mentor on a date wasn’t hard enough, someone shows up at the Folly’s door to complicate Peter’s life even more.
At this point, he is sure to be hated by life itself. -

Summary
Someone is stealing computer equipment from across London, and no one can work out who or, for that matter, why. With alarm bells ringing, the legendary Flying Squad turn to Peter for help, and Peter turns to Dr David Mellenby, an astrophysicist who knows rather more about magic than Peter expected. In an investigation that criss crosses the capital, but especially the river, Peter learns more than he ever wanted to about quantum, cryptocurrencies, and just what it takes to destroy a computer.

Summary
It is summer, Skygarden is dust and so is Peter and Lesleys friendship. In the waters of Cornwall something is stirring and Peter, Nightingale and Varvara must put a stop to it before there is irreparable damage - both to the port of Falmouth and themselves.
This is set post Broken Homes, but pre Foxglove Summer and whilst it heavily references canon, it is really almost a replacement to that novel.

" He nodded, and she dropped her arm back into her own lap with a thud. 'mm'Kay. Question for question. You get to ask me and I will answer, but you have to answer me too. Deal?' "

It's mentioned briefly that one of the strategies Peter and Nightingale use to try and get information about the Faceless Man out of Varvara is Copious Amounts Of Alcohol, so I just took that and ran with it to a bunch of unexpected places.

“I just have to ask, Thomas. Given the circumstances, could it have been a werewolf?"
“Don’t be ridiculous, Abdul. Werewolves have been extinct in the British Isles for over two centuries. There’s no reason to worry about that.”
~~~~~
As much as Peter respects Nightingale's expertise in these matters, this time he would like to differ.
Summary
Abigail had asked, once, why there were so many goddesses and ghosts and things in London, and Inspector Nightingale had said it was because magic came from people; that there just wasn’t a lot of magic in the countryside. That was fine by her.
Summary
Lesley's life isn't anything like she'd expected it to be. Everything since magic came into it has been a ridiculous mix of wonderful, confusing and downright awful. It has taken her places she'd never expect to go and pushed to make decisions that she never thought she would have to make. She knows how those choices must look to those closest to her, but they can't know the truth, not yet. Too many lives depend on it. Her own included.
