Izuku has always spent Christmas alone. No, don’t get this all wrong! He doesn’t mind being alone on Christmas especially after the fiasco that had been caused during his freshman year at Yuuei. But he doesn’t like to think about that.
Anyway, this year is no different, and he’s more than happy to spend the holiday with his mother again. So...maybe he wasn’t completely alone... He enjoys her company immensely, and they always bake cookies and listen to Christmas music. It’s tradition.
If you asked Katsuki Bakugou what happened on Christmas all those years ago at Yuuei, he would say it was all his fault. He would say that he regrets what he did, and what he said. But he can’t bring himself to apologize or seek Deku out. He hasn’t even thought about him in years. Not until he returns to Japan after a year or two in Korea at an internship. He bumps into the last person he expected. Izuku Midoriya, who looks like he’s completely moved on, with tattoos, a new haircut, and a boyfriend clinging to his side.
And for some reason it pisses him off. For some reason he wants to scream, and curse himself for being so stupid.
For some reason, he kind of wants to kiss the nerd.

Kirishima Eijirou, also known as #7 Pro Hero Red Riot, went M.I.A three years ago after being called as reinforcement during an attack on Might Tower. He was presumed dead after a year with no leads on his location besides scattered testimonies which all split at the seams when paired together- his disappearance was a mystery not even the greatest detectives on Japan could solve.
Bakugou Katsuki had never at pinpointing mistakes- glitches- in the system, but he knew this had to be one.His vision, edged with blackened spots, could pinpoint the ruby sheen of the eyes of the man in front of him. His shallow, sharp breaths were all that kept him grounded in his, frankly, sick reality.
But the worst part, out of all of this, were the words that spilled out of parted lips, recently unveiled after Katsuki tore the pitch-black mask off of the male's face.
"Who the hell is Kirishima?
So, it was left to die, along with the Red Riot.
But, even the coldest of cases can be solved.
Even if they're better off being left alone.

Now high above the buildings, Midoriya could see the villain, propelling herself towards the main fight. When she moved the asphalt erupted into waves, and the buildings surrounding her shifted, crumbling to the ground. Her quirk could bring the entire neighborhood down in a matter of minutes. He couldn't risk it.

Kirishima saw Midoriya crash into the building, ungracefully hitting many beams and sharp edges on the way down, landing on the ground with a heavy thud.
His bright red shoes were dirty, his face was bruised, and he wasn't moving, oh god.

Code purple was reserved for two very specific things 1) a hero’s immediate family member has been victim to a villainous act or 2) a hero has been victim to a villainous act. Not to be mistaken for a code violet was reserved for when a hero or a hero’s loved-one has died in the line of fire.
Bakugou reached into the cupboard over the coffee pot and pulled out two to-go coffee cups. “We’ll be there as soon as we can.”
