Summary
The progress they make is faster now, but not nearly fast enough, and the only flashes of coherent thoughts that fly through his brain have to do with crush injuries, the idea of Buck being dead, of finding Buck’s lifeless body, of telling Chris, of going to Buck’s funeral. Every thought is worse than the last, and he forces himself to keep digging, because Buck is still buried under the building. Buck, the man he is hopelessly in love with, the man who he wants to wake up next to every morning, the man he wants to cover in kisses as the Sun lights up their bedroom and at every other chance he gets, who he wants to cook breakfast with, who he wants to take Chris to school with and go to PTA meetings and parent-teacher conferences with, the man he wants to spend the rest of his life with is still buried, the man who still hasn’t responded to Bobby’s desperate shouts through his radio.

Summary
There's an active shooter situation at Powell Middle School. The 118 rushes to the scene to be of assistance and to ensure the safety of Christopher Diaz and Denny Wilson, who are students there.
Evan Buckley will do whatever he can to get everyone out of the situation safely, though escape seems unlikely from their position in the 3rd floor library. Things only get worse when an explosion brings part of the building down. Amidst the wreckage, he seeks to save the kids and find his sister. He winds up finding the family he never knew he wanted.
Alternate Universe fic. Things to know for the 'verse is that Evan Buckley is Christopher Diaz and Denny Wilson's science teacher at Powell Middle School. Because he wasn't a firefighter, he does not know any of the 118. When Maddie showed up at his place a few years back, she ended up taking a job as the school's nurse--and she never got introduced to Chimney. The rest is canon. Athena and Bobby are still married. Harry is staying with his dad in Miami. Etc.
TW: Most of the story will take place during the aftermath of a school shooting where explosives are set off. The first chapter does include the shooters, but is no graphic shooting "on screen".

Summary
When the day started, Kelly didn't put much thought into it. It was just a normal shift, a normal day, until he noticed an unfamiliar Floater walk out of the Firehouse. His mind freezes on the man. A topical Floater doesn't look like that. Look at those arms. A topical Floater doesn't treat the station he subbing at with that much dedication and care, but Evan Buckley isn't like your normal floater.
Kelly attempts small talk, not his favorite thing, with the quiet and withdrawn Floater; however, any attempt of friendship is ignored. Buckley just keeps to himself and makes no attempts to engage with the rest of Firehouse 51 or any Firehouse he floats at.
Who is this man? Why is he keeping everyone at arm's length? Why is he on edge all the time? Why does the word Family cause a visceral reaction?
Pairing: Kelly/Buck

Meanwhile, Eddie is dealing with his own issues - from constant nightmares about Buck almost dying to nightmares about the Tsunami, Christoper, and from his time in the military. He’s stressed. It doesn’t help that Buck has come back to work and now he has to relive his nightmares. He wants to stay close to Buck to make sure he doesn’t get hurt but at the same time he wants to distance himself from the blond. For now he’s going to distance himself - but for how long? How long until Buck figures out what is happening? He’s scared. He wants to be happy. He wants a happy ending. But he doesn’t deserve one.

Summary
Buck loves music. After the lawsuit, he finds the time to express everything that’s happened into song form, building a safety net of lyrical prose. What he doesn’t expect is that his music takes off, skyrocketing him to fame under the alias “Evan Buchanan”. When Bobby forces him to use all of his vacation time, he decides to embark on his North American tour. As his absence in the station grows, the 118 realize how much they ruined Buck. As Buck’s last performance at Dodger Stadium approaches, can the team rectify their mistakes? (This is a LOT of Taylor Swift repurposed as Buck’s songs btw) (btw idk how firefighter leave works oopsies)
