Summary
Inana Lavellan can't see most things - not in the waking world, anyway. The Fade is another matter, shining like a beacon just beyond the Veil. She loves the Fade, where everything is clear. Most clear of all is the spirit-teacher she has had for as long as she can remember. He taught her when she was still a child how to interact with spirits without fear. He shows her ancient dreams and memories. He talks with her about magic and philosophy. She has learned so much from him that it hardly even matters that their timelines seem to meet at random, and he doesn't always - or even often - remember who she is.
Imagine her surprise when her dreams lead her to the Conclave, compassion leads her to the burned-out temple in the wake of the explosion, necessity leads her to begin attempting to close the Breach - and she discovers that the spirit she has known all her life exists in the waking world as a man calling himself Solas.

“So, you can just dip into our minds whenever you feel like it? That’s reassuring.” Sera grumbled.
“I can read your pain.” Cole corrected. “You all feel it. But his,” His eyes became distant, staring at something or someone else. “His pain pulls me the strongest.
One by one, the group all turned to follow Cole’s gaze. Through the window, they watched as the man chatted up the bartender, who was pouring him what must’ve been his fiftieth drink of the night.
“That’s Dorian.” The Inquisitor explained, wistfully. “He’s new.”
“He’s hurting.” Cole said softly.

Summary

Summary
This is the fourth story in the Doctor in Thedas series. It begins when the White Spire Fell and will go through the defeat of Corypheus. The final battle against Fen'Harel will be the fifth story. This series began with a discussion, between the author and a friend, about Bioware changing canon. This turn into a theory that someone was going back and messing with the timeline. Naturally, they needed someone, say The Doctor, to go fix it. Hence, in the first story it is learned that Elanna Levellan the wife of the Dread Wolf stole Captain Jack Harkness' time device and used it to make it easier for Solas to tear down the veil and defeat his enemies. The Doctor is trying to stop her and repair as much of the timeline as he can. Some he can not and others he decides to change himself. This is the story of what happens in Thedas as events are changed. It is also the story of those in Thedas as they fight Blight, find their destinies, and take a stand. (It's a long drawn out soap opera)

Summary
Most importantly, Dorian was only wearing Sky’s pin. Sky felt his throat constrict immediately, and his eyes were burning.
Usually, someone would wear only a single person’s pin or bracelet if they were completely committed to that person. The moving in together, getting engaged kind of committed. That Dorian would wear only Sky’s pin already, during their first date… Sky was absolutely going to have a freak-out over that later.
Or, in a world where people wear physical markers from every person they've ever dated, Sky Lavellan doesn't have a single marker. He doesn't feel great about this fact. It only gets worse when he meets Dorian Pavus on a night out, a man with more markers than Sky usually saw on anyone. As they keep meeting, of course Sky falls in love with a man he couldn't possibly hope to have. Great.
(or, the one where I had a dream about a society where people wear dating markers, and decided to write a fic about it using one of my favorite couples ever)

Summary
"The Commander had many hard won skills. He’d fought numerous battles. Vanquished blood mages. Slaughtered demons. He could inspire troops, plan sieges, sleep on the hard ground in his armor, battle the demons of paperwork - turn on his very own Knight-Commander! But never, in all his life, had he faced the challenge of brushing a little girl’s tangled hair. Listening to Lara fuss that he was pulling her hair when he had barely touched it was teaching him a new level of patience. Remembering his sisters’ curly manes, he suddenly had a deep appreciation for both his parents. First he tried pulling it back into a simple, but bumpy, ponytail.
“Mama always did it in braids.”
“Right.” Cullen had seen Ellana twist her hair up in complicated plaiting dozens of times. The movements so familiar to her fingers that she rarely needed a mirror. It had looked easy enough. Cassandra wore her dark hair in a braided crown along her head. Sensible enough and how difficult could it be? His fingers felt like useless sausages from a day old breakfast. He tried to gather the gold strands into two sections on either side of her head and braid up but how exactly did Ellana do that anyway? Was there blood magic involved?" -

Summary
For centuries, the Chantry has ruled with an iron fist. After the second Exalted March, Divine Renata declared magic outside of Chantry service as forbidden, and any who oppose the word of the Divine are considered enemies of the Maker. Those who defy the Chantry are branded as heretics, and apostates are hunted down with extreme prejudice. The Dalish are considered to be enemies of the Chantry as well, and they are hunted down with the same fervor.
But, as history has shown time and time again, tyrants are the architects of their own downfall. Even under the cold totalitarian rule of the Chantry, the embers of defiance and rebellion burn and bide their time.

Summary
He sought to burn the world down telling himself it was to give himself and his fellow templars a way to die with dignity. She sees the problems with the institutions of Thedas and how it brought allowed the rise of Corypheus. She's determined to save as many as she can and her biggest project is the most loathed man in Thedas. In her own way, she's just as broken and more fragile as Samson. The future is never certain, and the horizon is never closer, but maybe, together they can lay a foundation for something; an example of a real change and a better Thedas for the common folk, mage, and templar.
