    Summary

He'd never actually told Crowley about it, the reaction he felt touching hellish flesh. He'd always assumed that the demon must know, mustn't he? The effect must be reciprocal. It wasn't like it was safe for them to touch much anyway.

Our side, he thought, and steeled himself to take Crowley's hand on the Oxford bus.

    Summary

Aziraphale and Crowley have survived Armageddon and now need to find a way to survive their upcoming trials. In their focus of the danger at hand and the joy of confessing and physically showing their love, they miss another danger entirely.
Or, what if Ligur was brought back in the reset and snooped on the husbands’ plans for the body swap?

If my story looks familiar it’s because it probably is. I had a different AO3 account when I started writing. It got deleted for personal reasons and this new one started. All the fics from the old account got moved to here ❤️💜💙🧡💚💛

    Summary

The world hadn’t ended, and that was something Aziraphale was still wrapping his head around. The past 24 hours alone had changed so much about what he fundamentally understood. He had gone against Heaven itself after so long trying to defend and serve in its name. He didn’t know where to go from here. Then, Crowley offered up his flat for the night, and he still had that knee-jerk reaction to keep him at a distance. Keep them separate but safe.

    But the bookshop was gone.

    -

Aziraphale and Crowley come to terms for what has passed, both from the past week and 6,000 years. Turns out, there was a lot they hadn't managed before the end of the world.

    Summary

Aziraphale felt tears in his eyes. It was time. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, Crowley and—” When Crowley started to object, Aziraphale pointed at him in a very fierce manner. “Shut up. I am sorry, more sorry than I can say, for what I did and for what I failed to do, and I love you, and we’re going to be all right, because—”

Crowley raised a hand with one finger extended. “Back— back up one, there.”

    Summary

“Who was it you lost?" Aziraphale says softly. “When I was… ah, when I was looking for a body. You said you lost someone. Your best friend.”
Crowley stares. Whatever the expression on his face, it is evidently sufficiently outraged that it makes Aziraphale take half a step backwards. “Crowley…”
“You. Bleeding. Idiot,” Crowley grits out. "That was you."

The obligatory night-after-Armageddon't. Featuring emotions, expression of emotions, misunderstandings, resolving of misunderstandings, long-overdue words of affirmation, comfort, communication, cuddling, sprinklings of banter, and the interpretation of a prophecy.

    Summary

Aziraphale watches the fallen being cast out of heaven and despite the clear message that he's not supposed to feel bad about what's happening, he does. The experience teaches him to distrust his instincts and feelings, awakening the belief in him that there's something fundamentally and dangerously wrong with him. The pleasure he experiences through being embodied and interacting with the world corroborate his fears. He spends the next 6000 years fighting his "flaws", trying to be what's expected of him, and afraid that at any moment he'll be found out. The only time he feels like he can be himself is when he's around a certain demon, the Great Tempter of the Garden of Eden himself. Unfortunately, that only confirms Aziraphale's suspicions about himself. Only a bad angel would feel more comfortable on Earth with a demon than in heaven surrounded by proper angels. But through the course of those years, and the events of the cannon, Aziraphale finds the courage and understanding to be himself, learning that hiding and pretending are far more damaging in the end than facing the consequences of being himself.

'His chest hurt, and all at once he resigned.

With the coldness and exhaustion and worry still lingering like stone under his skin, he met Crowley’s bare gaze and let the tears trickle down his face.

    “I love you.”'

Another classic take on the missing scene about that night at Crowley's flat. Nothing new, but oh so soft.

“I’ve always reminded you, again and again, that I’m an angel and you’re a demon,” Aziraphale whispered, “but…neither of us deserve to be what we are.”
Crowley made some sort of sound in the back of his throat, one of those ones Aziraphale had always loved interpreting. Now, he had no idea. He couldn’t think about it. He was simply tired. Drained, hollowed out. He didn’t want to fight anymore.

    Summary

After a long night of planning and practicing to escape the judgment of Heaven and Hell, Aziraphale and Crowley prepare to leave Crowley's flat on the morning after the cancelled Apocalypse.

Although it's understandable if Crowley's not in any hurry to let the night end.

    ++++

"What have you done with my trousers, you impossible thing?"

The evidence around the room suggested they'd taken off only a few items of clothing before Crowley had run out of patience and snapped his fingers, with an impulse that went something like "Trousers off NOW and pants too thankyouverymuch and also the sodding SOCKS and there's sock garters as well are you fucking kidding me angel BEGONE THE LOT OF YOU"

Much could go wrong with a miracle that haphazard. In his defense, he'd been distracted at the time.

    "I think they're, um...elsewhere," said Crowley.

    Aziraphale tutted at him reproachfully.

    "Sorry, angel."

"I had those made-to-measure in 1952," Aziraphale muttered. "I was rather fond of them."

Crowley sniffed. "Not to split hairs, but that pair was actually only a few hours old."

[sequel to AppleSeeds fic: Temptation Accomplished]

Aziraphale pulled away from the kiss, wiping the saliva they had shared from his mouth. He smiled at Crowley warmly. All Crowley could think of was that he had his tongue in his mouth. His tongue. He had sucked on that sinewy muscle and he had moaned for him. He had his lips between his teeth. He got to kiss the person he had been in love with since bloody Eden. What a gift that was.

"That was..." he tried to explain, form words. "I don't want to stop kissing you."

"Then kiss me." Aziraphale said desperately, yanking on Crowley's t-shirt. "Kiss me, Crowley."

    Summary

After the Apocalypse, before the body swap.

Aziraphale and Crowley wait out what might be the last night of their existence, too afraid to reach out, too afraid to speak. Until one of them finds a way to reach across the divide.
    --
One glance over his shoulder, back at the door. He could go back. Apologize. Open himself up to the one being he knew would never hurt him. Say the words that had sat on his tongue for countless centuries.

He could, but he wouldn’t. Not tonight. He needed time. Time to get his head on straight, to learn to be honest with himself, to know what it was he even wanted.

And time was the one thing he didn’t have.
