Bakugo watched him fall. He watched them declare Deku dead. He watched as his mother cried in the hospital with the grief filling his chest.
How the hell was he alive? And why the hell did he scale the building to the classroom window?
“Hey do you mind letting me in?” Izuku asked his best friend through the glass after knocking. The other classmates looked at the window in shock and horror of who exactly was there.
“Wait, What?... HOW IN THE HELL?!?”Bakugo screamed at the sight of his recently dead friend.
“Heh. Yeah. No idea either.” Izuku shrugged, his stitched up neck being very exposed in his funeral suit.

Japan’s Number One Hero hadn’t reanimated in one final, horrifying Quirk addition until Bakugou had wept over his fucking grave, face smeared with freshly-covered mud and snot and tears.
He’d been the only one left on that hill, set against the falling, fiery sun, and the only person to hear the frantic, distorted screams from six feet under, the knocks resounding against the earth as fists splintered the casket like toothpicks.
The rest of the story remained cast in copper and coagulated blood around Bakugou’s heart, the reproduction of an organ without the functioning emotions pumping through four false chambers. If a heart keeps beating for a lover who can’t hear it anymore, does it really make a sound? Is there a pulse worth having or an emotion worth feeling?
Whatever.

The two villains by the bar shared a nervous glance. “He shouldn’t be alone, should he?”
Dabi shook his head, taking a step away from the bar. Toga also stood, stepping halfway out of the shadows. They stood like they were expecting to be attacked, shoulders tensed and hovering on their toes.
Thmp. Shhhhh. Thmp. Shhhhh. Thmp. Shhhhh.
The limping footsteps echoed down the hallway, getting closer with every passing breath. The air was thick enough that Handsy could probably decay it by the time the footsteps stopped outside the door. The hinges screamed as the door swung open.
A flash of green hair and one emerald eye.
Katsuki's heart stopped.

Midoriya Izuku is used to life beating him down into the dust, and even more used to it from Bakugou Katsuki. Nearing the end of the semester, Bakugou tells him to kill himself.
He swears he wasn't going to listen to him. He even ranted about the stupidity of his childhood friend on the way home from school.
Then he talks to All Might, and the idea isn't so bad anymore.
When he survives his attempted suicide, it awakens a quirk nobody has seen before. In fact, nobody understands how he's still standing.
Then again, if your heart's not beating, why would they assume you're alive in the first place?

Summary
Midoriya Izuku had always dreamed of using his quirk be a hero for as long as he could remember. He was afraid that he couldn’t achieve his dream when it was discovered that he had an extra joint in his toe. Midoriya was relieved when his quirk did indeed manifest, but that relief was short lived and he now wishes that he was quirkless after all.
Basically Izuku gets a quirk that basically makes him a brain eating zombie. He’s a not decaying corpse or anything but he still has it rough.
