Midoriya Izuku is born with a quirk, and it is a terrible, burning thing that will not let him rest. It has stolen his ignorance, his innocence, and his safety. It has driven him to restless obsession. But he is still Midoriya Izuku, and he will be a hero, whether his quirk cooperates or not.
AKA: Izuku gets a quirk that's actually awesome except for the part where it keeps messing with his head, but he's not about to let that keep him down. Even if it means resorting to vigilantism.

Eraserhead went on a raid that night expecting the worst.
Kids were reported missing. Quirkless kids. A case that went on for years was finally coming to fruition. A warehouse. An unsuspecting building which, from their intel and scouting, could house the missing children and the criminals responsible for this crime.
Eraserhead has expected the worst.
Starving children. Injured children. Even dead children.
What he wasn't expecting was only one child. A hurt child. A child with a very powerful quirk.
Izuku only knew pain for most of his life until someone saved him. All he wanted was to be a hero. He has the quirk to achieve his dream. His dad told him he can be a hero. But as powerful as his quirk is, there's a reason he has such a powerful quirk.
He has an artificial quirk. And it wasn't his own.

Tsukauchi Naomasa just needed a vacation, but NO!
Aizawa Shōta found the entire situation to be absurd and extremely concerning— where were these kids’ parents?
“Did she just—” Izuku started only for Momo to cut in with a sharp, “Fuck, she totally did!”
Hitoshi blinked back his confusion so he could ask, “And what exactly did she do this time?”
Both Izuku and Momo gave their adopted brother the look while simultaneously exclaiming, “She built another fucking AI!”
That caused Hitoshi to stiffen his shoulder, “Does— this one won't— she fixed the bug from last time right?”
Momo paled, “I don't know.”
Mei walked in with a robotic cat trailing behind her, “No it doesn't eat people anymore, and yes it is safe, and no I am not just telling you this because I don't want Izuku smashing my baby again, and yes it's a girl. She likes to be praised.”
Tsukauchi Naomasa almost quite his job when an pink and blue robotic Icon lit up his computer screen, «Police Records Recoding— 36% Completed. Do Not Power Off/Unplug Device.»
He unplugged the device.
He regretted it instantly.
