Summary
It’s been two years since Yuuri Katsuki fell to injury during competition and stepped down from skating. After leaving the sport, he was given an opportunity to help manage the rink where the upcoming NHK cup will be held. Viktor Nikiforov is preparing to skate in his last Grand Prix when he starts receiving threatening signs from an anonymous entity. Viktor, against his better judgment, ignores the threats. When Viktor arrives at Yuuri’s rink for the NHK cup, Yuuri refuses to ignore the threats to Viktor’s safety. He takes it upon himself to ensure Viktor’s safety, no matter the cost.

Something tightens inside Yuuri’s chest and settles like a rock. “What are you reading?” he asks hurriedly, wanting to sound curious. He would’ve smiled too, but that would’ve looked cartoonish in this situation.
"Lincoln in the Bardo."
Victor answers as much was asked, nothing about the story, or the author, or something he might've found funny. Yuuri doesn’t try again, his throat closing up so fast he barely knows how to push his breakfast through. He just wants to get this over with and go to the rink; then maybe, just maybe, he’d be able to breathe again.
A week ago, they had a fight.

Summary
“Is there any chance, at all, that you know where the nearest crocodile enclosure is?” attractive neighbor asks in a rushed voice with his eyes, which are a very beautiful pale emerald color now that Stiles can see them clearly, wide as bullet holes.
Derek, his mind finally supplies, remembering when they met a few days ago when Derek first moved in. He can’t bask in that memory for long as he finally processes what Derek says, catching particularly on the word crocodile.
He sighs, throwing his head back a little as the sigh becomes a groan. Goddamn it Steve, god fucking damn it.
“My garden,” he tells Derek who just gapes at him as if he’s mad. He probably is.
In which Stiles is a biochemist with four crocodiles in his garden, Derek is his confused and attractive neighbour with one misplaced crocodile in his garden, and the author regrets everything.
