Summary
Kirk decided against going to Starfleet Academy and instead became a Librarian. There are days that he regrets the decision and it doesn't help that he works in the Starfleet Academy library. At least some of the professors are previous Starfleet officers and will humor him with tales of space travel. As an added bonus one of them is quite handsome.
