Summary
Tanjirou knew he should have died that day in the boating accident. Yet one week later, he woke up in a hospital bed surrounded by his family. His mother praised the Sea God for saving him, but the boy wasn't too sure about that. Even so, he dutifully left food offerings at the spot where he washed ashore just to appease his superstitious mother. But lately, the offerings began to disappear. Tanjirou was eager to get to the bottom of that mystery.

Summary
The only reason why Tanjirou, a former Upper Moon, continues to live is to turn his sister, the current Upper Moon Six Nezuko, back into a human.
After a chance encounter on Mount Natagumo, Tanjirou and Ubuyashiki strike a deal: wield the Breath of Moon for the demon-slayer corps, and the demon slayers will help Tanjirou get his sister back from Muzan’s hypnotic clutches.
So begins Tanjirou’s unlikely journey with a most interesting set of companions: most notably, a coward with lightning blonde hair and a ruffian with a burlesque boar mask.
