Summary
A remix of Act 2 in which Gale gets more of a character arc resolution.
“Gods damn it Gale!”
Astarion leaps over him. The guard, poised to land an entirely excessive final blow to Gale’s skull, topples backwards with a knife in his gut. The second pierces his neck, sending him crashing to the ground. Astarion yanks his blades back, and drops to his knees beside Gale.
“Oh no no no, you are not dying on me now.”
Gale attempts to express something, but it comes out as a gurgle of bloody bubbles. The world swings to the side, black and spinning.
“I swear, if it turns out I did just watch you spend the last of your magic sending your cat back to safety instead of saving your own damn skin-”
The threat remains unfinished. A healing potion trickles between Gale’s lips.
“Tressym,” Gale says, when he can finally trust his voice.
Astarion is still crouched over him, cheeks flushed, sweat running down his brow and someone else’s blood smeared across his cheek. Gale has the sudden urge to kiss him.
“What?”
“She’s a tressym. Not a cat.”
Astarion makes a noise of such furious, pained exasperation that Gale half expects the dagger to end up in his neck next.Series

Summary
It wasn’t a big deal. But it was interesting that every trader they started to run into had no dyes to sell. And it was peculiar that they didn’t realize their stock was running low until someone brought up the idea of changing their shirt color.
It was waved away when the trader gave them an apologetic look. It wasn’t anything important anyways, just a little idea for a change of pace.
Gale did notice the slight freezing of Astarion’s shoulders where he was milling around in the bushes behind the man. The wizard came to a realization that every person they traded with had been missing the color dyes. And every time, Astarion was semi-close by.

Summary
“What's he like?” she asks. “Your wizard?”
He seems to think about it for a moment.
“Arrogant,” he finally says. “Insufferably clever. He claimed he could have been Mystra's Chosen, but he turned her down.”
The group (sans Tav) meet Astarion by the beach. They don't meet Gale. If you ask Astarion, that just means they have to look harder.

Summary
It’s then that there’s a soft knock at the door.
She stiffens, hands freezing over her eyes before pulling away, and glances to the door when a voice murmurs her name.
When she’d heard the knock, she’d immediately expected Gale. He usually had this strange, sixth sense about her, where he could just feel something was off. It was coming up on a month that she’d been here, and it seemed like every time she felt any kind of big feeling coming on, Gale was there with a kind touch and something for her sweet tooth.
But this time, it’s Astarion.
