Jon’s lips barely move as speaks, and he coughs again.
“Are you…?”, Martin starts again, but Jon merely looks up at him, blinking with heavy lids and he closes his mouth.
“You have to narrow that down a bit, I’m afraid”
Even before Jon has finished his sentence, both of them go still.
What would have happened if Martin had returned from his walk before the archivist had read out the end of the world?
