Summary
Wei Ying makes it to the Qiongqi Path when Lan Zhan appears on the road ahead. He looks like Wei Ying’s Lan Zhan (fussy and nerdy and a huge, huge bitch) but it’s Hanguang-jun that bears down on him like a whole fucking battalion of angels, holy fury burning in his eyes.
“Lan Zhan…” Wei Ying barely gets that much out before Lan Zhan grabs him by the coat and slams Wei Ying back onto a boulder. “What are you, crazy?”
“I rebelled for this?!” Lan Zhan pulls back and punches Wei Ying in the face twice. Lan Zhan curls his fists around the collar of Wei Ying’s jacket and pulls his face close. “So Wei Ying could surrender himself to them.”
“Lan Zhan… please.”
Lan Zhan shoves him back against the boulder and strikes him quickly – once, twice to the gut. Wei Ying curls into himself as blood trickles from his mouth.
“I gave up everything for Wei Ying. And this is what you give me.”

Lan Zhan doesn’t recoil, or laugh. He really has changed.
“You didn’t tell us you’re injured,” Lan Zhan gently moves his arm around, dotes on Wei Ying like he cares for him the way Wei Ying wishes him to. He’s convincing, for sure, and Wei Ying tries not to pretend his delusions are coming true.
