This was 100% and purely inspired by a conversation I had with CrosswordDreamer on tumblr. We cackled and threw around the mock titles of "Paint Me Like One Of Your French Lassies" but ultimately, this won out. Get ready to get your heart broken all over again by the delightful romp aboard the Titanic with some very familiar Scottish characters!

23 year old Jamie is expected to pick and marry a simple, meek, obedient girl from his father's parish and become a priest worshiping at the Christian Orthodox church's altar.
And he eventually would have, had Claire not moved into his neighborhood, opening up a flower shop.
But Claire is not from his father's parish. She is definitely not simple, meek nor obedient.
And she's 31. 8 years his senior.
Pretty soon, Jamie finds himself worshiping at a different altar altogether.

This came out of a One Shot One Quote challenge and took on a life of it's own. I’ve had the idea for a while and only wanted to do a one shot, but the challenge gave me the push to actually write it.
Quote is: The sun glinted off his red mane and lit the tiny soft hairs that created his spine, running down to the reddish-gold fuzz that dusted his buttocks and thighs, and deepened into the thicket if soft auburn curls that showed briefly between his spread legs.
The Summary is:
Claire Beauchamp is sick of dating, sick of dressing up, of fake laughing at jokes that aren't funny with men who think they are better than they are. Geillis thinks it's because she's not being herself, so she challenges Claire to go on a date unapologetically as herself.
