    Summary

Fīat jūstitia ruat cælum is a Latin legal phrase, meaning "Let justice be done though the heavens fall". The maxim signifies the belief that justice must be realized regardless of consequences.

    ---

Several years after the fall, Hannibal and Will are captured and separated. Hannibal is sent back to prison, while Will ends up in hospital after being almost fatally shot. To guarantee Will's freedom, Hannibal announces that he kidnapped Will after they killed Dolarhyde, and has kept him captive since. As such, Will has to pretend to be the Chesapeake Ripper's last victim, while secretly trying to break his beloved out of prison.

Old friends turn to enemies, new acquaintances present new opportunities, and both Will and Hannibal have to reveal parts of themselves they've never showed the world before. Can they find their way back to each other, and how many sacrifices will it take?
