Kuvira has fallen and surrendered to the United Republic. What follows is a long road of redemption as she comes to terms with the horrible things she's done and learns to better herself. When both new and old enemies alike begin to emerge and threaten to throw the world out of balance once more, Kuvira vows to work with the Avatar to maintain that balance, and right her wrongs.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Please pay close attention to the ships listed under the relationships tag. They're not just there for show; they actually happen within the story. If you happen to despise one of the ships listed there (such as Korvira, the main ship in the story), especially if it actually enrages you to think or read about, then this fic probably isn't for you.
“I’ve got a tail,” Daisy announced, loud enough to hear through the phone as she watched the silver truck appear around the fourth corner, having made a successful square with the truck following. She made a left at the next possible road, deciding she would head back toward the highway to get to a better populated area.
Lily gasped. “You do??” She asked. “CAN I SEE IT!?!” She screeched in excitement.
Under normal circumstances, this reaction would have been more than enough for Daisy to roar with laughter and come up with an excuse for why Lily wasn’t allowed to see her non-existent tail. Today she was quiet as she glanced behind her in the rearview again.
Avatar Korra’s decision to open the spirit portals may have given Opal airbending, but it was Opal’s own choice to leave her only life behind and embark on a journey to discover what the future would bring. A terrible choice to have to make, certainly, and one that a considerable part of her resented. But she had made it, and now all she could do was hope that it would work out for the best.
Set in a world where the Air Nomads just barely survived the genocide, and modern airbenders live isolated lives in the Air Temples.

"In another life I could be happy."
Those words usually floated into her head quite often from her past life. A life she couldn't remember and she isn't sure if that is a good or bad thing. It feels like there's a giant hole in the center of her chest but she can't fill it.
Finding out that she is the last of her kind. Sort of like a dying breed doesn't help things. Trying to stop spirits from being used isn't the easiest job in the world either. Especially when you try to throw a normal life into.
Korra is sure getting Asami Sato for a soulmate won't put a end to the crazy whirlwind that is her life. The best part is that she wouldn't change a thing even if she could. It's not like she could hit a magical button for a restart anyway.
