Summary
Felix didn't have a choice in what he presented as, and never felt like he had a choice in who he could spend his (frustratingly irregular) heats with either. When he finally does get a choice, he doesn't quite believe it - but sure, he'll give it a chance. It can't be any worse.

Summary
Claude says it just as Felix is in the middle of his third strike. Felix immediately adjusts his stance, lifting his arm high enough to miss the training dummy so he can spin around and slice the air next to Claude instead. Claude, to his credit, doesn’t so much as flinch, not even as the blade stops a mere feather's width from his neck.

Summary
Dimitri stares at the rose, gazing at its starry petals, but the gift tells nothing of its giver. “Strange,” he says, voice rough from disuse. In the spaces between wars, his energy ebbs and fades, eaten away slowly with no source to restore it. Even this visit to the shrine has left him breathing quicker, winded by such a simple use of divine travel. He has not the strength to search for his strange benefactor, nor for the reason behind their gift.
Something settles in his chest like a stone at the thought, but Dimitri just shakes his head, vanishing the rose to his rooms in Garreg Mach, the home of the gods.
Who would give flowers to the god of war and bloodlust?
Be it from mortal or deity, the gift was a mistake, and nothing more.

Hermes is accused of stealing an artifact from his father in Olympus, a crime he didn't actually commit, but ends up saddled with the blame (and the artifact itself) anyway. A mysterious benefactor seems to be both helping and hindering the courier's path, and the Mojave's power-hungry factions are desperate to get their hands on the dread son of Cronus' power.
