8 months had gone by, there was finally peace again. Dream thought things wouldn’t change as long as he stayed where he belonged. Prison.

Nightmare, the Dreamon within him, broke free.
After a sudden prison break in broad daylight, Dream had disappeared. Two months had passed and there was still no sign of him. As the SMP members continue to look for the wanted fugitive, they slowly uncover his secrets—realizing too late that their old friend was not to blame.

“Who’s Dream?” The man questioned, which stunned them. Dream wasn’t dead. He still looked alive and bright, yet why did he not know his own identity?

It's strange, having life shoved back into you by the one who took in the first place. It's strange for Tommy, learning how to feel things such as light and earth and breath and emotion after (months? years? eternities?) weeks of nothing but dark and void and terrorterrorterror. When people wonder about life after death, they probably don't mean it so literally.
He breathes in the fresh, wintery air (something that is still so new, so precious) and thinks, this is what comes after life and death.
He will do his best to welcome it, he decides.

“Sure thing, kiddo,” Schlatt told Tubbo. He looked over at Tommy. “You can take your cloak off if you want, kid.”
“I’m not a kid,” Tommy said automatically, immediately gripping onto his cloak more tightly.
He didn’t want Tubbo to hate him. As much as Tommy hated to admit it, he actually liked Tubbo quite a bit, and if he took the cloak off, Tommy was sure to be cast out immediately.
Or, Tommy runs away from Dream, hiding his wings from everyone he knows.
