There’s nothing special about it.
Just a plain white mask, with a simple smile carved upon porcelain surface. It’s something he would have seen in a second hand store and not bother to spare a second glance, or something would have stayed in the sidewalk for days and no one would notice.
And yet, he can’t bring himself to tear his eyes away.
“Was it worth it?” He asks, pupil less eyes glean through the darkness “Was it worth getting attached?”
“It was worth everything”
