Summary
AU where Byleth never happens.
After a fierce war between the Adrestian Empire and the Church the Mad Emperor is defeated and imprisoned, her execution inevitable. An incident between the two of them leaves Rhea confused and she finds herself curious to Edelgard's past, the reason why she became what she is today, and also what information she holds to go after Rhea's own enemies. As Rhea makes her way deeper and deeper into the answers she's looking for, Edelgard helps her find herself instead.
And slowly Rhea finds herself drawn to the mad Emperor in a way that seems to elude the both of them, as thoughts and feelings which both of them had been suppressing and denying themselves for all their lives bubble to the surfaces in ways neither of them thought possible.With a stubborn Edelgard hellbent on creating as much hubris and chaos before her public execution, this will prove to be a difficult few weeks for the very tired Archbishop.

Summary
The Rhea who died in Crimson Flower and the Edelgard who died in Silver Snow meet in what seems like a temporary purgatory. There they are told that because of their actions, Byleth -who cared deeply for both of them- felt so torn as to who to follow she inadvertently tore both herself and time apart, splitting the timeline in two.
Now it's up to both Edelgard and Rhea, who are still hurt by the memories of their own failure, downfall and death, to look back at their past and somehow find a way to create a future where Byleth is spared the agony of watching them go to war with one another.
This utterly displeases both of them, and they're still very angry with each other.

Summary
Having lost the final battle which ended the war, Rhea is left heavily injured. It's the kind of injury that may take several years to heal properly. Done by the hands of Edelgard no less. Yet the Emperor doesn't treat her cruel, instead Rhea feels more like a guest at Enbarr, even getting her own chair on Edelgard's council.
Still her feelings of resentment won't fade, though over the months Edelgard is making that increasingly hard with her kind and almost shy behavior.
Rhea knew something would burst between them sooner or later and when Edelgard enters her room one day, one glance at the woman's eyes reveal that that day will be today.
