Bakugo and Midoriya, aged about four, were standing next to one another in the picture, grinning brighter than the sun, wearing giant suits and tissue paper crowns. Nestled in the foam backing on either side was a pair of the gaudiest rings Kirishima had ever seen and on the other was an invitation written in green and orange crayon that said "Come to our hero wedding." Underneath that were the words "please" and "losers" but both of them were crossed out in the contrasting color.
"You sure are a nosy little fucker aren't you?" Mitsuki asked with a raised eyebrow.
Kaminari grinned sheepishly and scratched the back of his neck. "Uh, sorry?"
"Don't be sorry," Inko gushed, reaching out to take the shadow box, her eyes suddenly shining with tears. "I'm honestly really glad you got it. I had almost completely forgotten about this! Oh, Mitsuki, do you remember?"
Mitsuki barked out a laugh. "How could I not? Damn brat turned the whole house into his own personal circus for a week getting ready."

In a nutshell, Izuku is a late bloomer, and Katsuki's not prepared for the nerd to start galloping that growth spurt like a carnivorous plant.
On growing up together then apart, falling in love over telephone lines and being home for the holidays. The new year comes, Izuku leaves, and Katsuki stays behind.

On this fateful hike, Todoroki has carved a whole new throne out of sheer idiocy. Bakugou has the decency to admit he's messed up by suggesting this date.“Alright then,” Todoroki muses. “I propose a truce. You have to listen to everything I say for the rest of this trek and respond accordingly and then maybe I’ll spill all the secret beans with you.”
That’s not a truce. That’s just pure chaos theory.
And there’s much more to unpack. In those words sits a glaring grievance Bakugou's soul cannot forgive - it’s not even about the spilling of fucking beans.
“Hike.”
“Hm?” Todoroki hums absently, epitomising innocence - but that’s deception at its finest.
“You said trek. This ain’t a trek.” Pause. “It’s a hike.”
Bakugou can practically feel the nonchalance of freely interchanging these terms. It disgusts him.
“Same thing.”
