Summary
Maybe the reason she never told Ben about Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker, Leia ponders, was to free him from the clutches that tie her to the past.
However, the past has a tendency to catch up with you no matter how much you fight it / and somehow it really wants that scavenger from Jakku to join in.

Summary
“Oh stop being all Alpha-y.” She flexes her foot, rolling her ankle as if to prove a point, and he doesn’t miss the wince that crosses her expression. “You aren’t my Alpha, and you definitely aren't my soulmate,” she mutters.
He can’t help but let out a dry laugh. “Thank god for small mercies.”

Summary
The prophecy had been passed down from generation to generation in those lands for so long its origins had long since faded from people's memories. As is usually the case with prophecies, however, it hardly mattered. They still came as naturally to people's lips as a wise old saying or a nursery rhyme - the verses that spoke of hope, of twin suns rising in the horizon, and of the peace and balance they’d bring to the kingdom of Naboo when they finally aligned. For centuries, maybe for millenia, people turned their eyes towards the sky, waiting for the arrival of the prophesized stars.
They never came.
As the years went by, prophecy became fable, fable became fiction and fiction fell into oblivion, so much so that people stopped staring at the sky altogether.
Maybe their eyes should have been turned towards the ground, where the wheels of fate seemed determined to tangle the lives of a lonely scavenger and a lonely prince.
