Summary
A serial bomber called the Ghost has descended on greater Los Angeles and it's fallen to the FBI's behavioral analysis unit to figure out who he is. Thanks to his skills and a run of bad luck, suspicion lands squarely on Angus MacGyver. It doesn't help that one of the agents interrogating him is the same man who'd arrested his father years ago, at the end of a string of killings that left sixteen people dead and James serving a life sentence.
Mac is left to convince the BAU that while his father may have been a killer, he isn't. The stakes only get higher when a call informs both the FBI team and Mac that the Ghost's latest bomb has been located, and Jack Dalton is standing right on top of it.

Summary
Desi stops short of entering the room because she doesn’t want to disturb them in case Mac is sleeping. Jack is sitting on the edge of the bed, back towards the door and she recognizes it as the gesture of trust it is. He wouldn’t stay like that if he didn’t trust the people in this house implicitly because the instinct of facing the door in whatever room you’re in is almost impossible to shake after a lifetime of covert work.
(In which Mac is sick and a hazard to innocent electrical appliances. The team takes care of him and Desi figures out something important.)

It takes Jack a bit to catch up on it, is the thing. He doesn’t notice it until the second one, or maybe the third. It takes even longer for Jack to realize that he wasn’t actually the first, and that’s just not something he ever considered after meeting Mac. Still, he probably should have guessed, given that Mac had already spent a significant amount of time in the desert before meeting Jack. There were a lot of former or current Jack-like guys around, and Mac did have that slightly lost puppy look to him…
(Aka: Five badass overprotective former-or-current-soldiers of more or less questionable reputation who wanted to keep Mac, and the one that Mac kept.)

Mac woke up to a slap in the face – literally. Groaning in annoyance as he slowly removed the large, gun-callused hand from his face; a very confused Angus MacGyver took in his surroundings:
He was in Jack Dalton’s apartment, that much he knew for sure. The blond had been staying with his best friend and partner for the last three weeks as his place was being torn apart by Phoenix CSIs and pieced back together by the electrician and contractor he’d hired. That house was hardly livable after what the Ghost had done.
This morning, however, he’d woken up in Jack’s bedroom... in Jack’s bed... with a snoring, boxer-clad Jack laying next to him. Mac himself wore nothing but Jack’s favorite Metallica t-shirt. The clock says 9:00 am...Bookmarked by FlorDoNorte11
