Summary
Aziraphale marched into Hell almost immediately after Crowley was discorporated. No stupid accident would steal Crowley from him. He would go wherever Crowley was, he would find him, and he would get him back. Wherever he went, Aziraphale would come for him. Even to the feet of the Fallen Morning Star himself.
Satan has his own plan to trick an angel into either Falling or being permanently killed. He doesn't mind either way.

The rise and fall of Ishtar, Goddess of Fertility and War by Fuuma_san

Summary
Inanna was a great cover for all of Crawly’s experiments with her flames of creation. Goddess of fertility, being a idol and redirecting worship from God, that was all good demonic stuff she could report to hell and thwart them at the same time. Maybe it was just her inherent ability to create things — ha! — but no other demon had even come close to making a religion as large as hers.
Everything was going fabulously and routine. At least, until Aziraphale finds a certain very large tree he never remembered having hidden.
(AKA, You wouldn't believe the brain sparks I had when reading about the Inanna/Ishtar and the epic of Gilgamesh, and I hope you do to.)

Summary
Crowley is a self-sufficient model on the verge of stardom. They clawed their way up all by themselves and the very last thing they want is some cream puff bodyguard their agency hired following them around constantly. Pretending to be their boyfriend at work so they don't get a reputation as a Diva. Watching over them. Caring for them.
But then it turns out "Fell" was not even his real name. Was it all fake? Would someone like him ever want someone like them?

Summary
Crowley and Aziraphale drunkenly argue about whose fault losing the Antichrist was, and they have an upsetting misunderstanding that makes Crowley, a demon, finding himself having to defend and back up God's ineffable plan to Aziraphale, an angel; and leaves Aziraphale trying to come to terms with exactly what kind of filthy, dirty, foul demon he’d fallen for.

Summary
Angels were genderless, unless they put in effort otherwise, but creating required different angels working together, in a gender-like way. Alpha/Beta/Omega dynamics for angels and demons (though not for humans or other creatures).
Crowley is an omega, and Hell can never find out. Aziraphale is an alpha who neither understands nor approves of what Hell, then Heaven, choose to do to people based on their creating skill sets. Dark and upsetting things happen, but in the end they come together and are happy there.

Summary
There's something about the care Aziraphale takes with his books. The way he treasures them, loves them...
... and also, perhaps more relevant to Crowley's reaction, the way he fondles them. Strokes their covers. Spreads their pages open with a sure hand, runs his fingers down the split at the center. Traces the letters debossed into leather covers, or teases at the stitching with a fingertip, the light of rapture in his face...
Crowley has spent a lot of time imagining what it might be like to be one of Aziraphale's books. Aziraphale is happy to give him the chance to find out.
