    Summary

Vera's world ended not with a bang, but with a whimper: the year is 2095, the world in the throes of late-stage climate change. The Earth will keep going, the humans - not so much. As it turns out, the apocalypse is contagious: either that, or she has spectacularly bad luck. Waking up naked on a bloody altar isn't the best introduction to a new place, but you make do with what life hands you. After a rocky start, Vera finds herself in Markarth, trying to make a new home for herself amidst the violence, corruption, and Thalmor zealotry. But just when things are finally settling down - as much as they can in the city of blood and silver - a Nord and a Dunmer roll into town with the mother of all bad deals. Always read the fine print.

This story starts about a year before the events of the game and will continue through the timeline and the DLCs. This is the first installment. Canon-compliant(ish), but skews towards a lot of original content. Narration is in 3rd person limited; the protagonist is not the Dragonborn.

THE TIES THAT BIND is a season chapter of my own making revolving around the video game series Dead By Daylight owned by Behavior Interactive.

It is a collection of stories featuring OC survivor Morgan Yoon and her deadly interactions with corresponding killer Jed Olsen/Danny Johnson before, during, and after the events within the Entity's Realm.

    2020 REVISION:
    - I deleted almost the entire section about Aquinea, which was simply misfired,
    - corrected wording.

In this essay, I focus on the psychological profile on Dorian Pavus from Dragon Age: Inquisition. I wish to convey some peculiar traits of Dorian's personality which make him one of those fictional characters who evoke strong reactions because of their inner depth and credibility. This essay is based on the analysis of fictional material provided in Dragon Age: Inquisition and "The World of Thedas" compendium.

Whenever approaching fictional characters, I follow a principle that they must have profound psychodynamic depth if we are supposed to sympathize or identify with them — if they are supposed to move us at all. Their stories carry a soul, and within the frames of esthetic suspension of reality we can allow ourselves to treat them as if they were real human Others (thought experience shows that extrapolating this suspension onto real life issues becomes where fictional character attachment may become unhealthy).

This is pretty much all speculation/headcanons/etc. Most of it is not canon. I was heavily inspired by@grandenchanterfiona and others in recent posts to continue this stuff! I’ve added things, added references to realistic/earth countries.

This does not include the Avvar nor the Chasind, as they are not /officially/ citizens of Ferelden.

Most of the information comes from the DragonAge-Wikipedia page.

Historical Timeline of Ferelden: Find it here on Mediafire (Word.doc! -
http://www.mediafire.com/file/umod57i7u6i9tp3/Fereldan+Timeline+for+Tumblr.docx ) Some of this stuff is not canon, see document for more information.

In this version of Ferelden, the latter is actually heavily affected by the Orlesian occupation in multiple ways (other than solely making way for bitter war veterans), mostly culturally. Ferelden also seems to be influenced by the southern cities of the Free Marches as well as Antiva through trade.
