Being lactose intolerant had never stopped Hitoshi before, and it certainly wasn’t going to stop him now.Aizawa paused in his conversation and narrowed his gaze, leaning to rest his forearms on his knees as if to stand. “Toshi,” he started and Hitoshi tensed, stumbling back a few steps. It didn’t help ease the suspicion in Aizawa’s gaze. “What’s that you’ve got in your hands?”
Hitoshi had a few seconds to make his decision. He placed it in his mouth, responded with a muffled, “It’s cheese,” and then bolted in the opposite direction, Aizawa’s alarmed, “No,” snapping in the air a few seconds later.

Shouta watched silently, prepared to intervene if the spoiled furbaby decided she didn’t like her new brother.
Slowly, Hitoshi held out his hand for Maggie to sniff. Maggie inched forward, gracefully of course, and after a moment, shoved her entire face into Hitoshi’s hand.
Hitoshi let out a high pitched sound of delight and bounced a little bit before pulling Maggie eagerly into his lap to pet her within an inch of her life.
