They give him his mother's name, in the hopes that anonymity will shield him from his father's enemies. But he holds far more in common with her than a name. He holds her burden: the Fox. He holds her dream: to become Hokage.
And he holds her greatest weapon.

A What-If fic where Naruto never learns the Shadow Clone technique, and instead manifests the Adamantine Sealing Chains.
Kakashi smiles behind his mask - well, Naruto assumes it’s a smile.
“Maa, that one actually caught me, but you’ll have to try a lot harder to take me down.”

- Part 1 of after time (all i need will be here)
After dying a 15-year-old girl gets reincarnated as a female Naruto, watch as she navigates the world of Naruto, and maybe falls in love along the way. Also posted on FFN. Leave any comments for a relationships you might want to see.
All Naruto wanted was a place to belong, somewhere he would finally feel wanted. But eventually he had to accept that you can't make people love you, no matter how hard you try. Konoha wasn't his home anymore--maybe it never was. And if he wasn't wanted in his team or his village, he'd just have to find his own home, even if it was currently in ruins.
Or, Naruto brings Sasuke back the first time, and he wants to be happy--the mission was a success!--but in the aftermath Naruto has never felt more hated and alone. So he leaves Konoha, off to go find a place where he'll be accepted for who he is. Even if it's a home he has to build himself.
