In this world, a "secondary sex" is assigned along with the sexes of male and female. Alphas, betas, and omegas.
Alphas are viewed as strong, wielding the power and charisma to enthrall others.
Betas make up a majority of the population, they are a varied group of people full of talents and opportunity.
And at the bottom are omegas, they are rare, and hold a unique genetic makeup that allows them to conceive children regardless of whether they are male or female. They go into heats once a month that without hormone suppressants will leave them incapacitated for a full week.
Orihara Izaya is an omega, hiding his status with high grade suppressants and living his life as a beta, until a fatal run in that leaves him in the hands of the alpha he hates the most.
Late one December night, Izaya gets a knock on his door, with a note reading to check the alleyway behind his apartment. Stricken with curiosity, he does as told, and is startled to find an infant laying in the cold, another note reading that its his son.
Izaya Orihara goes missing, with no information and leads, Shizuo has to come to terms with the boys disappearance after a cryptic last encounter that leaves him questioning their relationship and where the other could have gone.
He died, and then he didn't. Jason died, and then he didn't. The cycle had to end, but how?
Many in Ikebukuro know Izaya Orihara, but few know his younger twin brother Saiki, at least not by that name. Psyche however, is a different story. Going by the stage name Psyche, the younger twin had a flare for music, pursuing this talent into the industry and becoming a well known popstar. Keeping his face and true identity secret in order to keep his brother's privacy, he writes and performs his songs nation wide, even gaining enough traction to tour over seas.
He had been absent from Tokyo for 3 years, finally coming back to take a temporary break from his career and spend time with his beloved elder brother, unprepared for the chaos that would ensue from the mere sight of his face from a certain blond haired man that had no idea he even existed.
"That angry gaze slides sideways, out the window to the setting-sun gold by the front gate, and when he grimaces again it has nothing to do with Izaya, the fists he’s made easing into slackness at whatever it is he is seeing out past the glass. 'Wanna start a club?'" A change of schools results in more changes than just location.
