I want to reread this in the future more carefully, sawa is a super unreliable narrator lmao. Also it's told retrospectively from many years into the future so a lot of the events are skewed by sawa's own memory...
Sawamura time travels into a different universe as a first year at Seido again, but the ages of everyone is all scrambled. As sawamura tries to realign himself in this new universe, he continues to await Miyukis arrival to Seido....only to find he doesn't exist in this universe.
