Stiles knows three things to be true: Deucalion needs to die, he can’t do it himself, and Peter can’t be Alpha again. But if Peter were to die alongside Deucalion? That’s the best possible outcome for this shitty situation that Scott forced him into.
So instead of another insult, he says, “You know what? Fuck it. Help me kill Deucalion, and you can have his Alpha Spark.”
Peter gives Stiles a calculating look, and Stiles is sure that Peter knows he plans to double-cross him. Even still, a slow smile spreads across the man’s face.

Summary
The alpha crouches down until they’re level. He examines Stiles and something seems to click in his head. He says, before Stiles can ask any more questions, with a nod at Bunnicula, “Is that your Alpha Buddy?”
“His name’s Bunnicula,” Stiles says around a mouthful of pastry and sugar. Bunnicula is his constant companion, always stuffed in his backpack or hauled along with Stiles in his jacket pocket. Every square inch of him smells like Stiles, from his floppy ears to his velvety pink toe beans. Stiles is proud, especially ‘cause his mom told him that the more his Buddy smelled like him, the easier it would be for his alpha to keep track of it, because otherwise it would just smell like cotton and stuffing.
Stiles is months off from having his next heat but he likes the idea that even if he has to be alone during it, he would have Bunnicula with him. And Bunnicula would smell like his alpha, so it’ll be like having a little piece of them too.

“No, Allison. The witches are homicidal. He’s smart,” Stiles hissed, “and if you took your narcissistic head out of your ass for five minutes, you’d see something called self-preservation instincts. Seriously what the hell is wrong with you? A blowtorch? Really? How fucking stupid are you?”
Or, Stiles defends Peter when Allison attacks him with a blowtorch like a lunatic.

“Stiles, let me be very clear here,” the Sheriff braced his forearms on the kitchen table and leaned toward his son. “This situation is dangerous. Something is going around eviscerating and eating humans who are associated with the supernatural. From what Peter tells me, two of the victims were magic users. The latest attack was just outside city limits. You match the victim profile, and this thing is way too close for comfort.”
Stiles hated the worry he could hear underneath the seriousness in his dad’s voice. “I’m not likely to be targeted. And even if I was, I can take care of myself. I don’t need a fucking babysitter.”
