Summary
In a world where dominance of the sea is an endless battle between pirates and mariners, Park Jimin is content living in his little village on a small, uninteresting island by the eastern mainland. He wants nothing to do with the bloodshed of good and evil, the heartless killing of both innocents and condemned, the constant establishment and disruption of order. What he wants is peace, to live his life in the same town he was born in, to spend his days in the beautiful forest, and to use the powers of his Blessed Rune to nurture the home he loves so dearly.

he pauses the video. there jeongguk is, crooning into the microphone, blissfully unaware to anything happening behind him. and there yoongi is—there yoongi is. jeongguk stares at his face, caught on camera, as he watches jeongguk.
i see the way you look at him from the back of the stage. you can’t fake that.
yoongi is looking at him… with a quiet sort of awe on his face, the sort of softness that he rarely shows on stage because it doesn’t fit the image that he apparently wants to portray. he’s looking at jeongguk with his lips parted, eyes bright and fond. even in this still image, jeongguk suddenly sees it, breath hitching—yoongi is looking at jeongguk the way jeongguk looks at yoongi.

“he is,” agrees jeongguk, and yoongi looks up at him with that same lazy grin; there’s only the light of the moon and the magical fireflies that someone must have conjured to see by, but it’s enough to see the way jeongguk looks at him. yoongi wants to blame it on the alcohol and the drugs, but jeongguk always kind of looks at yoongi like he can’t believe yoongi is real, like no magic could ever compare. yoongi understands. it’s the way he looks at jeongguk, too.
